Why go there, when you can go here.

Or, if Geddy Lee’s voice makes your soul wither (yes, I know that this is not what a good music enthusiast is supposed to say), you can go here:

"Nature smiles at the union of freedom and equality in our utopias. For freedom and equality are sworn and everlasting enemies, and when one prevails the other dies.

Leave men free, and their natural inequalities will multiply almost geometrically, as in England and America in the nineteenth century under laissez-faire. To check the growth of inequality, liberty must be sacrificed, as in Russia after 1917."

– Will Durant

You lost me during the intro paragraph.

I know. And I wasn’t being argumentative.

Still not sure what you’re getting at about this irony. Your initial post described Islamic fundamentalism in terms associated with the traditionalism of my worldview; a highlighting of commonalties between myself and radical Islamists. Not sure what it was you were getting at or what it has to do with Obama. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood you.

Back on topic to Ferguson.

Where’s the perjury charge against Michael Brown’s friend Dorian Johnson? He obviously LIED to police saying that the “gentle giant” had his hands up.

If the Ferguson PD had been receiving threats, where’s the FBI investigation? Where are the criminal charges against the people threatening the police department?

Why did the police threaten to arrest the OATH KEEPERS? They were defending the rooftops of the stores that were being targeted by looters, AS IS THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT? On Rooftops of Ferguson, Volunteers Patrol, With Guns - The New York Times

So you let the rioters destroy the town, and you threaten to arrest the citizens who want to DEFEND the down? What fucking planet are we on?

Welcome to 0bama’s world

Been reading thru this thread and following pretty closely this case…

As someone who has been arrested at gunpoint by a SWAT team and lived to tell the tale… allow me to shed some light on the matter and offer some advice.

A) Did Brown reach in to the cops car, fight with the cop and the gun fired off twice in the struggle?

Anything that happens after this point is not going to end well. Regardless of how the officer acted (no this doesn’t give him a free pass after this fact) however has emotional state will be very much rattled by these events. Even if Brown was to drop to the ground at this point and cooperate with the arrest, it will be a rough arrest with a knee dug in to the back, cuffs done up extra tight and thrown in to the cop car. From my experience police generally give an opportunity to comply. If you do not comply you are straight up rolling the dice.

B) When a police officer tells you to do something. You do it. You will have your day in court to defend yourself. Just as I did and got everything dropped 100%. When he says “turn around!”, “put your hands on your head and drop to your knees”. That’s exactly what you do.

Or if he asks you to walk on the side walk, you apologize, move on the side walk and wish him a good day.

Or what about Brown’s step-father for inciting a riot? He is captured on video screaming “Burn this ********** down!”

Yep, pretty much my exact thoughts on this lol. You also touch on a very good point that nobody is giving enough credit to… Like it or not, emotional state is a very real factor to deal with because hey, we’re human beings…and anybody who has experience in violence understands this.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Whenever you need some truth with a dab of comic relief, ask Charles Barkley. Read his take on the protestors and the police.

Don’t worry guyz, he’s having the meetings.

Government is on this problem, it should be solved in a few. Don’t worry about it.

lmao… Yes, robbing a store should be a protected profession with government regulations to prevent you from being harmed after stealing and possibly harming others in your attempt to take what isn’t yours to take.

This is pathetic.

^That can’t be real.

I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they were trying to be funny/ironic.

Looking closer, I think the last two lines are photoshopped. The “S” and “O” seem like they were cut paste from other places. I assume it originally said “walk down the street” or something.

I apologize.

But yes, I do know people this dumb. Case in point, one person who defriended me on facebook after I asked if he still thought “only police and military should have guns” while he was shit posting about the Brown shooting.
