Right Foot, Left Foot

30 min walk on the treadmill, had issue with my blood sugar dropping and got a little sickly feeling so I stopped at 30. Went up ate 3-4 grapes and everything came back to normal after a few minutes, hate when that happens.
Tomorrow I’m going to check my weight, feeling fat…ter for some reason. Hopefully the scale won’t let me down, if it does no worries, adjust and move on.

4-11-11 Calories

6am cardio
7am 3 scoops whey
9:30 half serving almonds 2 fish fillets
noon 8oz chicken and 1 cup green beans
3p 8oz dark meat chicken
5p train
6p Surge Recovery
7p 7ish oz of backed pork and green beans
8:45 1 scoop whey 2 tbsp natural peanut butter

Fat 87.0g
carbs 85.0g
protein 318.3g
Total: 2,412

WTF? That’s 1200 calories shy of my goal? We’ll see what tomorrows weigh in brings.

I like your attitude in regards to changes in training and diet. No need raising cortisol with stress and such. I think I have a big problem with cortisol, gotta get some Rhodiola tomorrow.

As for the 1200 calories less than target, no worries. Think of it as… calorie cycling =)

DDay great work on the prowler, I have to push mine in the grass. The noise it would make at 4 in the morning would bring the cops. I normally push down with the low handles and back with the high bars. Kind of changes the stress on the leg muscles. Low bar tends to get a lot of quad work.

I shall know call you diet brother, I am with you man.

Thanks Nikki, I try to keep my mind open to new things when I can. I’m still learning.
Does Rhodiola work? I haven’t tried it.

Calorie cycling, like it! May have to use that.

Thanks bro, I’ve tried the prowler in the grass and it always catches on the patchy grass around here. If I had a thicker yard it might work better. The low handles are a killer, didn’t want to do that after squats. Thursday I hope to push it again, might just add some low work in then.

Do you have a diet plan yet? I didn’t see it in your log, may have missed it. Do you like CF? Seems like it would be a fun change of pace.

About the Rhodiola… I don’t know

Did a lot of reading on it and it seems that everyone who took it loves it. I’m hoping that cortisol is the reason why my waist and belly holds uh, more fat than I’ll like. It also makes you happy, which is good when you’re on a caloric deficit ready to bite someone’s head off just because they’re having a burger and you’re eating cold chicken and spinach.

I also read a review that it helped someone’s child with Down’s syndrome or something like that. It also made the child’s words easier to comprehend or something. And I think it helps with ADD. I think I got that right.

Amazing how simple things found in nature is so good for you.

My reasoning with calorie cycling is if you don’t give your body anything to adapt to, it can’t possibly plateau. You don’t have to intentionally do it, but just think of it as a low-cal day in a cycle of low and high calorie days.

Sounds like good stuff, going to look into it.

Ok 236.8 this morning? That’s only 1lb in a little more than a week, thats not going to work. Even though I do not believe I’ve ever reached the goal of 3660 calories I’m going to have lower calories. A few years ago I went from almost 300lbs to 214lbs. Then my calories were down around 2k, I had hoped that I wouldn’t have to go that low again.

Well basically very low carb diet, I didnt exactly do a daily eating log in my thread. Just documented what my plans were in regards to the BF loss challenge. Basically no eating out, no alcohol and non-workout days less then 20 gm of carbs a day. Work-out days only carbs is from Surge.

^We’re pretty much doing the same thing then. When I do eat out there has to be an option of steak/chicken/fish veggies or we don’t go there. Honestly I’ve probably has fast food 5 times in 3 years and that’s being generous.

^ Same here. I dont like Fast food anyway or buffets any longer. Maybe cause I am getting older or something, but I like to sit down order and be served food. When we go out its always the same question from the wife Where do you want to go, answer where ever I can get meat.

Right now though not even doing that, stay at home. I am grilling a shit load of meat and veggies.

So you were big too at one point?

Yesterdays calories:

9p 2 tbsp Smuckers natural PB and 1.5 scoops whey 6oz 2% milk
1:30a bed, had to work at midnight again…suck.

My wife does the same thing, when I say where I want to go 99% of the time she then says she doesn’t want to go there.

Yep, I was a fat body waddler, there are pics in my hub. Around 2007-8 I saw a picture that made me realize how fat I was, decided to change. Found this site at the same time CT and shugs were doing the body make over things and I followed Bartl’s training, lost 80lbs in like 8-10months. With the exception of some failed bulks I’ve kept the weight in check. Now I want to finish what I started.

Congrats never knew that. I keep a fat picture up in my office when I weighed 305. This was in my early 20’s and then I lost 115 pounds. heaviest I have made it back up to is 250’s but that is lifting etc. Most places cater to paleo/atkins type diets now.

Both of you guys deserve a shit ton of credit for taking matters in your own hands and taking your health seriously…many people would use the excuse of leading busy lives, but you guys didn’t and thats real commendable. really inspiring stuff.

Not my best session tonight.

Bench
barx10
95x5
115x5
135x5
155x5

working
185x5
205x3
235x4

Bench
185x10
185x6
165x6
135x12

Messed around with some other crap but just felt beat. Took my ball and went home.
On the plus side, I really felt all those things described in the EFS So you think you can bench series. Felt my lats fire, grip strong, pecs working just everything seemed to be right with technique just no gas. Something else I felt was a giant cramp in my entire lower ab area on the 3rd rep of 235, that’s never happened before.

Damn Hoss, 115 is nice! Good job.

I hate seeing my old pics. I cringe.
Sadly I never looked at a picture of myself and said “Wow I gotta lose weight”
And I kinda wished that I wasn’t so nice in high school so that I could have had bullies tell me how fat I was lol

You don’t have to be the strongest you ever were, just the strongest you could’ve been today.
Looks like a job well done to me.

Thanks Matty. Back then I was working a full time job that required a lot of OT, I got training in when I could usually at 4am, like DJ does now and cardio at lunch.
I hate to say it but I’m like an ex-smoker that hates smoke, I see fat people who give excuses about why they can’t lose weight and it pisses me off. If I can do it anyone can.
