Welcome to old meathead land.
Nice work
Do you do any mobility work?
Ii find I need it allot and a big pusher of foam roll and mobility work
I did some last summer but as winter set in I got away from it, winter blues or just lazy. I need to get back into it now that the days are getting longer. I have a foam roller but again, don’t use it as much as I should. When I’m consistant with it the bennifits are worth the 5min it takes to do.
Haven’t been around today much. A vendor came into the office today trying to sell us a new product and insisted on taking the group to lunch. Diet went down in flames!!!
They took us to Kona Grill, not sure if they’re a chain but it’s a higher end sushi/steak/etc place and I went a lot over board, easy to do when you’re paying.
The middle and left plates in the previous pictures are mine and so are these. 3 plates of sushi in total, I had no idea what I was ordering but it was damn good! Now I need a nap.
^haha!! Truth. I wanted to go for a walk after lunch, now all I want to do is nap. Still gotta lift tonight, might need to get the prowler out and work off some of that vegas roll.
Weight this morning was 237.0 Saturday it was 238.6, seem to already be showing some progress.
Didn’t get to lift last night, had daddy duty while the wife went to dinner with one of her organizations.

dday, congrats on seeing the scale start to move.
Thank you, just hope the vendors stay away for a few months. Last summer we had a different one come in each week and they all insist on taking us to lunch at places I can’t afford. Good for bulking bad for dieting.

If it is once a week you’ll be fine. It is impossible to blow a diet with one meal. Keep the rest of the week under control and it’ll keep coming off.

Thanks, I did schedule in a weekly cheat meal, today wasn’t supposed to be the day but it was totally worth it. I’m still full, gotta choke down something soon.

hey - it’s another log with more banter than lifting! you’ll fit right in with the rest, and you even have a non-relavant title, cool
welcome to the old-farts place!
I know, right! I’m enjoying the hell out you guys already. There will be some lifting in here I promise, how about my next post.
Not sure I mention it but yesterday I had two rounds of cardio, this will not be the norm.
6am- 30min of walking 3.8mph 10* incline 15 min of jogging at 6mph 4* incline
1:30p- was bored at the office and it was a nice day so I went for a 30 min walk just to get my ass out of the chair.
Didn’t get to lift, had to watch my 2yr old son while my wife went to a meeting.
No cardio today, just wanted to rest and had intended to walk again at lunch, see pictures above for the result.
Tonight chest and tri’s.

225 felt pretty light to start off, thought I had 8+ then on the 5th rep seemed like someone added a plate, shit got heavy fast. Same thing with 185 so my training partner and I decided to do some burn outs for fun, he’s been harping at me to do this for a bit. The result, my tri’s are screaming right now! I went to set on the floor and play with the boy, when I put my hand down damn near fell on the floor.
I have a video that I will upload, hopefully later tonight, my laptop died the other week so I’m reloading windows right now and posting from my wifes PC which she wants back.

Everything was so freaking heavy, put my belt on at 185, usually don’t do that until around 250. Plenty O’videos a coming.
Just an observation, if you don’t mind. You appear to be rounding the lower back right at the beginning of the lift. Try to set the arch and initiate the pull with your hips, ass, and hams. I do this by…sorry…‘squeezing the shit out of my ass’. As with anything else, form first. I hate tweaking shit at my age.
Are those those selectorised DB thingies I used to see in the magazines? They always looked like a good idea in theory, how well do they work in reality?
And I hope that DB against the wall by the pipe is for your ab rollouts not your one arm rows!! LOL

Don’t mind at all, that’s why I posted the videos. We’re you only referring to the sumo or both? I know my form is crap so I’ll take any and all the pointers I can get. Thanks.
