^Thanks a ton Pete. Never really had a nagging injury to work around so I really have no idea what I’m doing. My last reps of late have been in the 80-85% range.
Matty- Gotta admit I really enjoy the volume. Started getting burnt out with those 95% 1RM days so the change of pace is nice. Physically my body feels the same after either style but my CNS seems better so motivation is high even though I can’t press.
Planned a float trip for July 29, 30th and the 31st. Got camp sites all lined out, bunch of friends who I haven’t seen in years committed to go, first float trip in 8 years gonna celebrate completing the warrior dash.
Found out today that this entire time I’ve been wrong about the date of the WD, it’s the 30th not the 21st like I’d thought.
Everyone else is still going and rightfully so but damn it pisses me off. Had I not dropped $50 on registration and spent all this time training I’d just go float, way more fun way less work.
Dagga dude, that sucks, kinda like me, Im going to DR with the fam on vacay the same date I leave one of my best friends is gonna have a bachelors party, torn for sure, I wish I was leaving the 10th to have my cake and eat it too.
Was feeling out the whole session since I don’t really have a point of reference weight wise. Kept the GM’s strict still could have added a lot of weight but liked where I was. Hip thrusters the same thing.
Woke up surprisingly sore, must have done something right.
Shoulder is getting to that sneaky good feeling again but I’m not going to trust it, one more week no pressing and then we’ll see.

Weight was flying up tonight. For some reason my knees kept wanting to come in, this is normally not a problem for me so something was a little off.
Got my training partner back today, it was a nice boost. Been a little down lately regarding the gym due to limited ability to lift the way I want to. Tried some skull crushers but to much discomfort. Starting to think about getting a second opinion, sure seems to be taking way long for this damn shoulder to heal.
Do you think you could get to a gym and maybe simply do machine type shoulder sessions, so you dont have to worry about balance and tweaking your already shaky shoulder? I didnt do any DB OH pressing today to give my shoulder a break and my shoulder feels great. x2 on the second opinion, maybe an MRI with the ink, I have no idea what its called but its better than a MRI, and Im writing like I am in 4th grade. my bad.
I’m going to seek out a new Dr., mine can’t get anything right it seems. First the blood work, then he didn’t check the right boxes and my insurance doesn’t want to cover my “proceedure”, now the shoulder. Years ago this Dr told my insurance I had COPD but never bothered to tell me, seems like something you’d mention or maybe treet. He was wrong about that too but only after I went to a specialist who was like “WTF?”, enough is enough.

He is Coding things just so he can get paid, also his coding department sucks. Yes Dday change Drs. Find a good ortho for the shoulder, one that doesnt like to cut first and ask questions later. If you live near any colleges that have football programs look for a ortho that has done work on those kids. Or any sport related ortho’s is your best bet.
