Deadlifts are officially going backward, it’s taken a bit but dieting may finally be catching up with me or going through a suck phase. Doesn’t seem that long ago when I pulled 420x3 and 390x10, could even just be between my ears.
Gave Kroc rows a try to see how the bum wing held up. Started low and stayed there, no pain just something didn’t feel right ended there. Little way to go before it’s good, trying to be patient.
Maybe its time to have a couple of high calorie days to give the body a rest before getting abck to it?
^Ya know Joe, that’s probably a good idea. There have been days where I’ve eaten like crap but most of those days we’re days I played golf or been really busy and didn’t eat much as a whole. Could be the spark I need right now. Thank you.

Basically grabbed the bar did a few reps and then slowly added weight until I felt anything weird then did a few sets at that weight. Been doing 5/3/1 for a long time so the volume is a welcome change of pace, might just stick with this for a bit. Will eventually add some more weight but for now this was a good session.
Hope to push the prowler tonight for a few minutes and/or squat. Wife made plans for me on Friday so it’s either tonight or Saturday.
That is a lot of volume, bet you’re going to feel that tomorrow.

I’m doing the same thing for the same reasons and I’m quite enjoying it. It’s still challenging, but in a different way than the heavier stuff. Can’t say for sure yet that the volume will help my strength, but I think it will.

FB: So true. Usually when lifting heavy I’m ready to be done by the end but volume is fun and doesn’t seem to be as taxing. That said the shoulder day was about 70% of 1RM so it wasn’t exactly heavy. I’d imagine that once my shoulder is 100% and the weight gets into 80-85% range I’ll be a little more ready to get out. Thanks.
