For some reason my regular sets didn’t load, check back later.
How much do the bands take off at the bottom? How do you work it out?
Nice work man, I get a feeling you could hit 315 sans bands rather easily. What did you say at the end of the vid?
Farmer- Not 100% sure, but per EFS they’re 115lbs, so at the bottom I’d say 100 and 20-30 at the top. I’ve only started really playing with them again, so I’m feeling it out. My old training partner wouldn’t try anything like this, so now that he’s gone for a bit I’m doing what I want.
Matty- Thanks, I have a mental block with bench press that has held me back for sometime. Hopefully band work with heavier weights will help overcome that. No idea what I said at the end, some sort of gibberish.
Nice work-
I like the reverse bands-
am a big fan of fish- beef not so much.
maybe that is why Im small- haha
I have a few rules about any marinate
for any meat
you need fats
you need acid
usually its olive oil
and for acid citrus juice- lemon lime orange
or tomato juice or vinnegar
these are like 2 parts oil to 1 part acid
then I use sugar/salt about one to one
I do this for any meat- the salt is essential
the sugar or honey- just helps it brown.
I use enough to coat the meat/fish chicken what ever
you can use less of everything if you stick it in a big ass ziplock
and then usually I broil bake or grill
^kmcnyc- Thank you. You’ve given me some really great ideas on cooking fish, actually makes me want to eat it again.
Been on vacation all week, todays my last day, so everything is a little off. Yesterday was my 8th wedding anniversary so the wife and I went golfing and then to a nice dinner. My two year old at calamari with chop sticks!!! I can’t even use chop sticks. Little dude powered down that calamari, eventually he dropped the sticks and started shoving it in.
Didn’t get a chance to lift yesterday so tonight I’ll be squatting. If my depth is as good as it was last week I may see what I can do, just playing it by ear but we’ll see.
Also had to push my Dr. appointment until tomorrow morning. Kept my wife up a little to long last night so she’s running late and I have to take the kiddo to the sitter, might just keep him home and have daddy baby day.
233lbs this morning.
Nice work, dday. I’ve never used bands. Mainly because I am too cheap to buy them.
As for the mental block, you can always just skip the weight. I got stuck at, I think, 345# and could not get 350# to save my life. After many weeks of frustration, I just skipped it and went to 355#. It went up. Go figure.
Solid work. I hope the triples work out as well for you as they do for me.

Strick- Bands can be pricey, you know that saying “a fool and his money are soon parted”, thats about me. The bands are nice to have and add a nice change of pace. Next time I try to max I’ll give you idea a tray, something needs to change. Thanks.
James- So far so good, thank you for the idea.

I ran out of gas, yesterday was a busy day. Started the day off taking the baby on an hour walk in his wagon, dragging that damn thing around with a 30lb kid in it is work. After the walk I dug up a dead tree in the back yard and planted a new one. Wasn’t a big tree at all however the root system was pretty big. By the time I got around to lifting I was ready for a nap. Happy with the session overall.
Bonus video, he loves pushing the cart. My phone auto corrected prowler to power.

Crap. Ok let me see what I can do. Thanks.
Try it now.
Saw the first two vids, I have a very similar squat style to yours, I guess a smidge high, as are mine, but seem to get lower as the reps go on, good work bro!
Buddy, you are not bald enough to belong to this forum. I’m sorry, but I have to revoke your membership.
You’re strong. Despite you constantly talking yourself down, you lift a lot of weight. I’m impressed. And if you think pulling a 30 lb kid in a wagon is a drag, try doing what I have to do at Wal-Mart… 220 pounds of kids in the cart.

Thanks Matty. I noticed that too, as the reps go I can get lower but I think the improvement is coming along. Soon I’ll get that ATG squat. I fixed the other videos so they should work, one is me squating 315 high and the other is my kid pushing a shopping cart through the grocery store, he’s an animal.

Haha! So far no grey and good hair line. I do have to admit my eye brows and ear hair have started to grow like crazy, that has to count for something.
Thank you for the kind words. You’re 100% right, my weakest “muscle” is between my ears when I put my mind to it I can lift but once it’s made up I can’t do something it won’t happen. Something to work on, just like everything else.
220lbs of kids in a cart!! Yea you win.
Dday, your kid is awesome, pushing that heavy cart around. You should get him together with KM’s kid.
Kent, you lost me with your “220 lb kids”. Explain?
I have three kids, around 75 lb apiece (2 10 year old twins and an 8 year old line-backer). Put them all in one cart…
… 220 lb of kids.
Nice squatting.
That’s a packed cart! All these talented toddlers.
