I dunno how old he is. At first I thought “That ISNT the Jackson I was thinking of… this will probably be funny though” and then made my housemate confirm what I was watching.
He then said “He’s not athletic. I’d like to see him on the football field”.

There was a guy who benched just like him at Gold’s one evening. He benched 225 for what seemed like 2 minutes straight, played with 315, 365,405,455,475 and finally did 495 for 2. Some guys just have all the luck with this lift. It was one of the only times where I was surprised by someone benching.

That was probably me.
I actually could have got the 495 for about 7, but frankly, I just got bored.
Possibly if Jackson cuts weight and tightens up his form. According to one of the links jackson is 300 lbs while the 19 year old in your link weighed in at 267 so there is a difference there. especially on form. One kept tight form and paused on the chest the other bounced and lifts his ass off the bench, not quite the same. Still strong as hell, just not yet powerlifting record breaking.

Yeah, someone really should tell him that the Bench Press isn’t functional for football.
Well, actually, he’s only in the AFL. I’m just saying. Perhaps its not very functional for him.
It does make you wonder though. The guy I saw playing around with huge weights on the bench only did 315 for a few reps on his front squats, using a smith machine. I have seen a few videos on youtube where players are posting up their bench presses, but never their squats. Of course, they all claim to rep out over 500, but just don’t seem to have the videos to prove it.
