LOL, yea I did not even realize I had NGC until I saw this. It’s buried in that no-mans land between basic cable and HBO.

I’m watching just for Dan Inosanto. This looks great- I don’t normally watch TV, so I’m glad this thread was bumped.

BUMP!

I second this question. Anyone?

A little bit too much like the XMA special from the Discovery Channel. It even had one of the guys from that special. There was a capoeirista there too, but they didn’t talk about capoeira at all.

Take home points: boxers punch hard, muay thai knees hurt, professional breakers are better than you and the katana is sweet.

Don’t forget: Ninjas have real ultimate power!

And if you do, they’ll kill you with a gay looking hammer fist and it’ll be so sweet I’ll crap my pants.

I also was disappointed in the absence of a segment about the capoeirista.

In fact, the entire show was disappointing overall. They hyped the show as a scientific examination of martial arts, and parts of it did contain some interesting insights into the physics of several movements, but it also seemed to turn into a sort of mythbusting exploration of the various feats that different disciplines are known for.

It was as though we somehow doubted the abilities we’ve seen performed by these martial artists for decades.

I think the show would have been better as a mini-series. Each week examining a different discipline in greater detail, with a final episode doing a compare and contrast between the disciplines.

Barg.

Pretty weak. They could have done better. Muay Thai knees suck, as Quinton Jackson can attest to. The actual force was pretty surprising.

UPDATE: The torrent is up on torrentspy.com

Enjoy!
