REZ-V = Trans-Resveratrol?

Edders,

http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1433039

a recent article from our own Dr. Lowery. I looked, and he cited several studies looking at the positive affects of antioxidants. I’m willing to bet that there are plenty more in his other articles, as well as some of Cy Wilson’s and possibly Dr. Berardi’s, but I’m not going to take the time, we shouldn’t even be having this conversation. Also, as Vroom has pointed out, see PubMed.

I agree. But not all Resveratrol supplements are marketed as Testosterone boosters/Estrogen blockers.
And I do believe the Biotest supplement, REZ-V, is marketed as a testosterone support supplement, not a testosterone booster.
Sorry for the error in terms…T-support, but still is being marketed along those lines, not for health benefits.

I have been taking REV-Z for a full month’s supply.

I diddnt notice anything at all. Sure, It’s probabaly still a great product for its health benefits, but for anti-estrogen, I cant say I feel or notice a significant change. Not like when I took M.

I just want M back. That was some awesome shit.
Agreed. I found M to be better than the Rez-V too.

Show me the scientific proof.

You’re kidding, right? Anyone with a high school education knows that antioxidants help prevent premature aging.

Antioxidants protect our bodies from free radicals that can damage DNA and therefore cause our cells to reproduce improperly which can lead to any number of diseases including coronary heart disease, cancer, premature aging, inflammatory diseases, Parkinson’s, periodontal disease, and cataracts. Do a search and you’ll find many studies showing this. However, I am assuming you’re finished with high school, correct?

That’s good that you used put downs to try to bolster your weak point. But I’m afraid it didn’t work. Reason being, you never showed me the scientific proof that I asked for. And I don’t want to look at anything that has come from a vitamin company. I’m talking about serious studies performed by objective analysis that prove your assertion.

Now get busy.

Thats because only an ignorant kid who knows nothing about nutrition would ask to show scientific proof that antioxidants help prevent premature aging. Thats like asking to show scientific proof that cars run on gas. I did go to college for this, but I guess I still don’t know what I’m talking about.

Actually, I believe one of the main ingredients in Biotests “M” is Calcium D-glucarate, which has been shown to allow the body to excrete hormones such as estrogen before they can become reabsorbed-not to mention, it has also been shown to lower serum estrogen levels in rats by 23 percent.
I forgot to add this, but I have also been taking a Calcium D- glucarate supplement with the REZ-V. I think it would be very effective if Biotest could add vitex agnus-castus extract and calcium D- glucarate in with REZ-V.

Yes! I agree completely. I have not taken Rez-V, but I loved M and would love to have it back. It really worked well for me.

Christopher

I loved M as well.

I take 1 cap of Rez-V per week, to mimic a diet high in resveratrol. Costs are mute at that dose, and if resveratrol pans out, I get the benefits.

Im really glad im not alone on this…

Is it still possible to purchase M from other wholesalers or retailers?

I still see Fahrenheit and other Biotest products in Vitamin Shoppe and the like…

Maybe M is still in circulation? (with RED KAT none the less…)

One more post, more insults yet still no scientific proof to back up your very big mouth. Who’s the kid?

Why should he do your work for you? No one really cares if you believe it or not. Or whether you take the supplement or not. The research is out there. If you want to make an informed decision and better your health, you should probably look into it.

Sorry for butting in but that ‘Get Busy’ comment of yours really pissed me off. It’s no ones job here to convince neighsayers and spend their time looking for evidence for someone else who comes at them looking to pick a fight.
jsbrook wrote:

Um, because I asked him politely? No? Okay, because I’d like to read the research that he touts? Take your pick.

You are making a huge assumption right? Oh…I think someone must care.

Yea, I’ve read that multiple times. I’m simply asking him to post it. If he’s unable all he has to do is say so.

I guess most people want good health. But in this case I’m just asking him to produce the scientific research so that I can read it. Good intentions on my part. Not so good on his part, or yours either for that matter.

The way you two guys are acting you’d think I insulted your moms.

It did? Gee, sorry about that. I hope that posting this response and my ensuing retort has helped ease your anger.

But really all you have to do in order not to read it again, after this next time that is right is to GET BUSY and produce the research.

Your sort of running out of options. But here are three:

1. Produce quality research (I’m hoping this will happen)

 1. Don’t post back (this won’t happen)

 2. Post back without the research and insult me for asking (this has been happening)

Job? You must be confused. I’m not going to pay anyone to look up scientific studies. I simply asked him to show me. I didn’t have any intentions of picking anything apart.

I wonder why you and and your internet “friend” have gotten so defensive about producing scientific studies which back up the claim regarding antioxidants?

Tough week huh? LOL.

He is right. Were you not the one postulating me to show you scientific proof? If you’re too lazy- that or illiterate- to look up the studies yourself, then I really feel sorry for you. It’s a well known fact that they help prevent premature aging because they interrupt oxidation reaction. It is scientifically sound.
You are not simply disputing this. You are asking us to show you studies that have already shown this, thus making you either a hermit or someone who failed High school four times.
However, If you DO NOT agree with this, then you are welcomed to talk with me about the science behind this, as to why or how they interrupt oxidation, or why these oxidants attack and oxidize holes in the walls of your cells.

But you are simply arguing with me about something you know nothing about. That is quite ignorant I do believe. All you have to do is look around you to understand this. Resveratrol, the antioxidant commonly found in grapes, has shown to help mice live longer. Look it up on the REZ-V page here on T-Nation. You are ignorantly arguing a well known fact.

I rarely call someone a troll… But asking for scientific research to back up a claim that antioxidants, prevent free radicals from oxidizing, is pure trolling

How do guys take your REZ-V? I find near bedtime with a meal with a good dose of fat is a good choice.

Back in November when I was taking it last, I took it spread out through the day, 1 after breakfast, 1 after lunch or mid-day snack, and one with my ZMA before bed.

I should be getting some more next week, and I was thinking of following a similar plan, but if anyone has some insight on how best to take it, I’m all ears

Exactly.
But I guess scientists call them ANTI-oxidants for nothing.

I found that taking three in the morning with red grapes works best for me.

The article here on T-Nation recommends three tablets, once per day in order to overwhelm the body’s natural metabolization and excretion mechanisms.

Do you have an appreciable amount of fat in your morning meal? It’s said this can optimize absorbtion. Have you heard anyting about this?
