Revolt Towards our Proposed Health Care

The mere fact that approximately 20% of the uninsured people mentioned are illegal is pathetic. [/quote]

Yep, but Black Jesus will fix everything. Don’t worry.

My state is in an uproar over this too. I wish I could have gone.

Do you think they are brave enough to attempt one where you live right now?

I doubt it, because they know there is someone out there like me, who will ask the hard questions and put them on the spot. I can unleash intellectual hell, attacking the mind, and rather than come off like some loud mouth who is an angry mobster, present an intelligent and articulate argument. We have a pretty strong following of people here, who do not put up with bullshit. In May, we voted down a tax increase by a 2 to 1 margin, yet the Democrats said that the California public was “uninformed.” Oh no, we were informed, we just don’t want to pay any more taxes. They know better than to try it here, but I pray they try.

Look they are scared shitless, calling us fake anger. Lets bring back tar and feathering lets see if they still think its fake anger.

Your administration and their cronies like to say there are 47-50 million uninsured. This is true, but lets break it down. These are close estimates:

10+ million are illegals

13+ million make well over 50k and CHOOSE(<- that’s important) to not insure

10+ million are under 34 and also CHOOSE to pay out of pocket

That leaves 13+ million and the vast majority of those are either eligible for Medicare/Medicaid and are just to lazy to apply or are in between jobs and are only without for 4 months or less.

The general consensus of those who have actually studied it is there are no more than 3-4 million CITIZENS who actually want coverage and are ineligible. That’s a whopping 1% folks. And emergency rooms are free for everyone, brought to you by those of us who do pay their healthcare and taxes.

As a side note, I’m 34, a business owner, and I pay 126 bucks a month for a Blue Cross personal plan with a $750 deductible. If you own a cellphone, buy games for your XBOX, or go out to dinner twice a month, you can afford insurance.

Do you have a source for this, out of curiosity?

I agree, they are scared, which is now why they are changing their position to healthcare co-ops now. This is exactly what happens when people get tired. Something I learned, people tolerate bullshit for only so long. Eventually, sooner or later, people put their foot down, and perhaps this is the issue to do it. You are all seeing a change, and I knew it would come in time. We are seeing glimpses of the government being scared of it’s own people, and its about time. For so many years, the government has used fear to herd its people for its own gain. Now, people aren’t asleep, and not staying quiet about their disapproval. Those in Congress do not want to face the anger of their constituents. Now we may see things change.

Chamber of Commerce doesn’t like Obama’s plan.

Hah, That happened right by my house.

Google has hundreds, I just picked one. It all comes from the 2000 census.

Obama and almost the entire media are looking you straight in the face and lying to you.

Cool, thanks for the link.

chances are most of us probably know someone that falls into that category of people that make enough to insure themselves but decide not to do so. My cousin is one of those individuals, a 34 year old that runs a car restoration business. I personally do not see the advantage changing the whole system for less than 1% of the population that for this reason or that fall through the proverbial cracks.

When I was in that position i bought a policy to cover any major expense. My doctor bills might have been under 100$ a year. My policy was 1000$ a year with a 5K deductible. I could afford to pay the doc as opposed to paying a high premium when I never went to the docotr.

And if something bad happened, I was covered.

I saw a lady that did not run her meeting very well , that is all I saw

understandably so, however my cousin is a little weird to begin with, and I actually think he does have a similar plan now, considering he owns his own business and what not. But for a period of time he was making plenty of money and had no insurance coverage.

Is that what you call it pittbull? How about a lady who could not argue with facts so she tried a scare tactic. A typical response when one knows that they have no legs to stand on. Correct?
And also as you stated pittbull, if she cannot run her Townhall meeting properly, how in the freaking hell do you expect her to run her damn district right?
The left is always full of shitty excuses when it comes to defend themselves. Please stop making excuses when you know your wrong, at least have some integrity.

Disagreeing with them is a “unruly mob”, even if it’s a lot of people with legitimate complaints. Of course they have no answers other than soem talking points, but we’re supposed to roll over for these nitwhits.
