Thanks for the nice comments regarding the progress shots everyone. My significant other gets to be a dickhead about taking progress shots of me and the self shots are totally a bitch as you all well know. I am wheedling him and hopefully I can get him to comply next weekend. I haz da magicz.

Cal: Totally right. It is very difficult to compare them except for the first two. Photos are funny, the lighting really makes a huge difference especially when it come to muscle definition. I know that my delts are larger now and my legs are the best they have ever been and they are seriously my worst body part.

Today
Dicked around at the gym. Did some shoulder work and stretches and was trying to talk myself out of doing cardio so I decided to play with the boys for a while on the bench.

I have never truly committed myself to proper bench pressing. I started a few years back an injured my bicep tendon (poor form I am sure) and never went back to it. I just do DB presses but I am starting to get up in weight (on my lower rep days I can put up 45s and perhaps more but it is getting difficult to maneuver them into position), so I figure it just may be time to get under the bar.

So we decided to see what my 1 rep max was.
Started with the bar alone ? easy (I remember when just the bar was challenging!)
Added 20lbs ? 6 reps
Added 20 more ? 4 reps
20 more ? 2 reps
10 more ? 1 (I struggled, but got it!)

115! FUCK YEAH!!!

So pumped. Managed to do 45 minutes on the treadmill, then came back down stairs to stretch some more. Since I was feeling badass, I figured I would do some chins (I?ve only been doing pullups lately) and knocked out 8! Ok, so my form was shitty on the last two. They were more like ¾ chins but before I started doing pullups I could only do maybe 4 since I have been back training full swing. Happy camper here! Must have been all that fud the day before :slight_smile:

Tomorrow I start my low rep week so I am excited!

Print: Thanks! That was my short and darker with highlights phase. It was wet, just out of the shower in that pic. All my students told me that I looked like “Kate 8” so I grew that shit out immediately. It is in a longer, soft blonde bob atm. Think I’m gonna grow it to my shoulders and keep it layered. (Don’t you know not to get a girl going about her hair! That shit will take up a whole f’n post!)

Felt good today. Food is good. I am not used to eating so much, but everything is stable weight wise. Clothes fit better and I am tearing it up (for me anyway) at the gym. My legs have come a loooong way but they are still the ?weakest link? for sure. Tush is shrinking and triceps are leaning out a bit I think due to the estrogen modulation. I gotta admit though that I am feeling like a total space cadet. I hope this isn?t what I get to look forward to during mental-pause. Many of my former pts have described it as such, but DAMN I want my brain back!!

Today

Finally got blood work done. I only had to wait 30 minutes. The fuckers now want a credit card on file prior to the draw. Just in case insurance won?t cover all the costs. Don?t get me started on the cost inflation that goes on in healthcare and the fact that I pay for insurance AND pay taxes to cover those who are uninsured/medicare etc? grrrr

So, at least that is done.

Figured since I was fasted anyway, I might as well do some fasted cardio! Wheee, oh what fun. 45 minutes later?? I am ready to eat my own leg. Haha! Then eats, dentist (again), food shopping and home. ahhhh

Ha yes, I’m not looking forward to that aspect of the menopause. And as I’m 44 I know it’ll come sooner rather than later (but hopefully not much before I’m 50).

Rear Delt fly: 75/85/110x2 (forgot to change weight, Haha!)/95

Superset 3
Flat DB Press: 45/50/50 (WHAT, WHAT!!) *disclosure ? needed spotter to help get up the 50?s at first ?cause I was scared that I was going to drop them on mah face. Everything else was all me bay-beh! So pumped!

Well, I wake up and eat a big breakfast around 11 o’clock, I would then sit and write for around three hours. Then I would go to the gym, lift, come back home and eat, then go to sleep for 1.5 hours. I would wake up, eat a big supper, then go over and play poker for a few hours. On the way home I would buy a big bacon and egg burrito with a medium mountain dew and eat it, then watch my TV shows as I edited my papers. It wasn’t a bad thing I got to 300 in itself (I have been up to 310 before), the bad part was that is the wrong direction for what I am trying to do at the moment.

How are you going about losing weight (though I’m not sure what you look like or how tall you are, pretty much any woman – excluding the super tall – can pull your weight off.
