Ive read alot about the importance of taking weeks off and active recovery weeks etc
My question is
Is it best to take a whole week off and not go lift weights at all or is it best to have a down week ie a a couple of easy trainings with less weight and reps but still doing something.
Take the days off… I take 5 days off every couple months. Doing easy training days will probably be useless. I always go with the Poliquin aproach… “if you dotn improve, dont show up” … Going and doing half ass workouts will most likely be a waste of time.
Take a week off the weights, but don’t sit on your ass all week. Go running or climbing or play your favorite sport. “Off” weeks are also good times to work on flexibility.
