Republicans Say The Darndest Things

Both of you ignored the fact I said “iraq is one thing”…

But you’re right, all the pain in the world, 43’s fault.
Not all the pain in the world, but a lot of it in Iraq–hell yes.

But yeah, I hadn’t seen that you had acknowledged Iraq. My bad.

FTR, I don’t agree with the Iraq war based on what I know. I’m not 43’s biggest fan. However, I will point out when he gets blamed for things that aren’t 100% his fault. The other thing with Iraq in particualr is I’m not about to disrespect the troops, their thoughts, mission or lives by going all John Kerry, 1960’s, “I Hate AMerica therefor I’m the real Patriot”, liberal about it.
In all honesty–and you’re one of my favorite posters on this board, which you know–this is a line of reasoning I’ve always found extremely empty. Who is doing the fallen soldier a disservice, the guy who sent him to the middle of a sandblown shithole to have his legs and lower digestive tract blown to pieces for essentially no reason, or the guy who criticizes the war itself? Criticism of war is not unpatriotic. And it is not a disservice to “our troops.”

Correct me if I am wrong but did not Congress vote(a vast majority) for military action when 43 was president?

Need you be reminded of the climate of our country at that time? The Bush admin used the tragedy of 9/11 to quickly shift gears from a legitimate and strongly supported action against al Qaeda in Afghanistan to a neocon wet dream in Iraq. They whipped up the war fervor with exaggerated and false claims regarding the threat Iraq was to us. Remember the terms “smoking gun could be a mushroom cloud” uttered by Bush? " “Surender monkeys” “freedom fries” “cowards and traitors” regarding anyone who disagreed with the admin. I do blame the weak spined democrats in Congress of that time who all but a few didn’t have the balls to stand up for what was right. But, the motivation and lies used to initiate that war and the thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives lost (innocent Iraqis not insurgents) the billions of dollars much of which we borrowed from China wasted lies solely with the Republican Admin of that time.

I am sorry Republicans win the contest of being the party of stupid and my vote is , even though Herman is a first class dolt ,My vote is for Sarah .

I think the Republicans do not think their candidates need to be smart because their policies are so tried and true that all you have to do is paint by the numbers

I agree the Dems. have the same problem but to a lot lesser degree .
Any way to see the tally you ran?
Funny how people are quick to forgive a side they support and condemn a side they disagree with.
It’s the two party system that is failing in my opinion.

So if the CIA and Mossad find WMD’s…and then they are shuttled across the border before the Allies get to them, they were never there?

Shit! Glad you reminded us of those nasty WMD’s being shuttled across the border. Syria right? Or could they be they have been ‘shuttled’ over to Iran by now? You know since for all the lives and money lost Iraq is pretty much a Shia state and an ally of our dear friend Iran. That whole “shuttled em across the border” tripe is about as bad as the 9/11ttruther nonsense.
