Replacing Some Test with Deca/NPP on TRT for Acne?

Acne wise NPP, Var and Mast all give me chest acnes like a 14 year old girl. it’s horrible. I love NPP tho.

It has been a couple decades since I’ve been checking out the 14 year olds haha, but I don’t remember the girls having a lot of chest acne. I can’t even really think of seeing it at all.

As a 14 year old boy I had tons of chest, shoulder and face acne though.

I do not believe that ND can control E2 at all - if anything most data and experiences support that it increases E2 volatility/receptor upregulation. ND does aromatase somewhere between 10-25% the rate that Test does, but that has nothing to do with controlling it (I’m sure you know this, posting it for the lurkers).

Did you have Prolactin checked, by chance? increased Prolactin has some anecdotal reports of causing higher estrogen or increasing conversion, or something to that nature. Had you supplemented with B6/P5P at any point during your trials to help keep Prolactin lower?

80/80 I did fine for 2 weeks so I increased ND dose.

I’ve been at 80T/120ND for a week and a half now - no issues at all. Supplementing 200mg B6 daily. I initially tried dropping test to 60mg, started getting Low E symptoms so I kept it at 80mg.

Thank you for your thoughts and experience on this.

EDIT:
Yes, it has helped reduce my TRT induced acne. It will probably need a few more weeks to get a stronger result.

I don’t understand how Prolactin and Estrogen interract well enough to speak on it in any educated manner… My guess is that your prolactin levels had little to do with how you were feeling (which is odd) because they were mostly stable. Your estrogen being sky high on week 19 of ND is the obvious anomaly, which I think is low hanging fruit regarding correlation.

In bro-conversation, some have mentioned a possible feedback loop between Nandrolone and Estradiol with some relation to Prolactin… I would imagine this comes into play here, but it is pure bro science that somewhat agrees with your experience here.

Would have been nice to see prolactin on week 8 of ND to prove the theory, but even then - I think it would only argue on behalf of the theory, not prove it.

Many of us fossils get a second run at acne, but with rosacea later in life.

Out of curiosity. What kind of rosacea and did you treat it?

I don’t know of the type, but noticed something notable.

When I first noticed rosacea I was about 50 years old and fighting dermatamyositis. My doctor prescribed an antibiotic which worked, but I didn’t want to stay on antibiotics and decided to just deal with it.

At the gym Charles Bailey was mentioning the joint benefits of adding hyaluronic acid. I started taking 100mg of hyaluronic acid and in about a month I noticed that my rosacea was pretty much totally gone. I have been taking 100mg of hyaluronic acid since.

But when I started taking Surge, about a couple months into it, I noticed that my rosacea had returned. I really liked the performance results of the Surge, and have decided to deal with the rosacea with topical medication, which is slightly better than nothing.
