Religion of Peace

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man?s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:34-39 NASB)

Sounds pretty intolerant of people that do not follow him.

So Jesus actually said this? or did someone who knew someone who knew someone that knew jesus write it? Sounds like a very convincing argument for me to accept Jesus as my lord and savior.

Anyway, does anyone know WHY Muslims came to the Western countries? If their own countries and cultures aren’t good enough for them, why the hell would they come here and bitch ? We took them in and they sound as bad as the assholes back in their old homesteads.

I say: simply refuse to allow any more immigration and offer all here to leave, if they don’t like it here.

Note the article regarding how Muslims in Canada feel about their adopted homeland. I guess if only 12% feel that terrorism is justified (The beheading of Canada?s prime minister after a storming of the Parliament buildings in Ottawa

Remember, you should not judge… These are just “a few bad apples”.

They would have stayed in Asia?

It is from the gospel of Matthew. He knew Jesus.

I have no idea who actually wrote it, when or how it was translated.

I also don’t know if Jesus existed. All I know is that the Jesus in the Bible appeared to take this stuff seriously. He was a hippie in most aspects but you better not go against him.

To my Muslim Brothers: There are 19 reasons to read the Koran. Or is it 19^19, or some higher power? (inside joke)

haha. I have heard this before. I asked a skeikh (religious leader), and he had heard this before as well. He said it didn’t mean anything.

The only thing I could think of is the number 6. There are 114 chapters in the Quran, and 114/19 = 6. But the number 6 is not significant in Islam. There are 5 pillars in Islam, and you pray 5 times a day, but 6 is nothing that I know of.

EDIT: Sheikh, not skeikh. My apologies.

i am a christian but if you want to get into the details, i am a roman catholic. i do not go to church but i do believe in god. i do believe that as far as monotheism goes, muslims, christians and jews worship the same god because of the ideal of oneness. however as religion goes, they arnt the same.

i now live in england but i was born in mauritius. its a tropical island in the indian ocean, close to madagascar and australia. it is bursting with different cultures and races. churches are only a few blocks away from mosques. even though most of the time we live peacefully with each other, we do hate each others guts there, and i have been witness to a religion and race war.

i will say this. i have no muslim friend.i hate muslims. i hated muslims before the events of 9/11. maybe its because i went to the same school as them and i know how they are. muslims are hypocrites. we all are, but muslims are worse. they will smile to you, say that they are friends, but truthfully they hate you because you are a non muslim.
muslims see non muslims as infidels and un worthy. some go as far as terrorism, and the rest just decide to suffer the pain of smiling to us.
i just totally disagree with the idea of friendly muslims.
there are two options.IRRADICATE RELIGION.destroy the idea of religion, burn down all holy places and all holy books and brainwash the entire human population into forgetting religion, or solve the muslim problem.
i am just sharing my personal views here, thats all.[/quote]

WeaponXXX,

I am very sad to hear that you hate Muslims. As a Muslim, that makes me feel bad. I understand your rationale. Every Muslim you have met is a backstabber, and a two-timer, so I can see why you don’t like Muslims.

Would you be willing to give Muslims a second chance? Is there anything I can do to sway your opinion? If so, please let me know, I will be more than happy to help you out and shed some positive light on Islam for you. If not, then that’s ok, I will not be mad at you, and hope that you are not mad at me for being a Muslim. Thanks.

There are thousands of reasons why Muslims come to the US. Some Muslims came to the USA for a better life, to get away from their war-torn countries, some came for business purposes, the list goes on and on.

I am a first-generation Muslim born and raised in the US, my dad came because of work (he was a doctor, and the US have the best hospital systems in the world). So in order to get the best education, he decided to come to the best place to learn and train and do his fellowship. But again, there are so many reasons why people move.

There is a link on the left side titled ‘Islamic History’ It talks about the beginning of Islam, important figures, the Crusades, etc. This is a good overall website about Islam, there is a wealth of information regarding the religion.

http://www.al-bab.com/arab/history.htm

This explains Arab-Islamic history

http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/islam/islamsbook.html

The third link is ‘Islamic History Section’ Similar to the first link.

Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can help you out in any other way or if you have any questions. Thanks for allowing a second chance about Islam, much appreciated.

Wow! They’re done. Seriously, these folks need to be sent packing. All of them.

“Most shocking about this whole matter was the question that was not asked. While the number of Muslims in Canada who support jihad against their fellow countrymen and the CBC?s less than overwhelming reaction to this startling news contain no surprises, many Canadians would probably be stupefied if they discovered how many of their Muslim fellow citizens would like to see Canada?s liberal-democratic political and social order replaced by Islamic Sharia law. Polls in England and Germany containing this highly enlightening question have already disclosed that almost a third of the Muslims living in these countries would like to see Sharia become the law of their lands.”

Out, the sooner the better. Ready the planes and ships.

There is some interesting history there; however, the majority of natives were push out of their lands and forced on to reservations. What really strikes me is how few native people living in the US compared to Mexico. As a matter of fact I would imagine we have more native Mexicans living in this country than we have actual Native Americans.

Yes, I am sure there were a few warrior clans that didn’t accept immigration. These are the ones we got to learn about in high school Ameircan History to justify wiping out an entire race of people.
