Religion Catch All

“I love you.” When I was already 40!

But even that might be a creative figment of a lonely will existing in some dark reality.

Gotta go.

Joking. Later!

Maybe you are his illusion.

Impossible people are a figment of a dog’s imagination. We would not be such assholes if that were true.

With absolutely zero faith your have absolutely zero civilization

True, but the brain follows, logically

I think it has more to do with not wanting to submit to the people that claim to speak for Him

But definitely agree, it’s not just because “logic, duh”

IMO, without faith or religion, we would have found ways of hating others based on something else. Being part of a group is a strong human drive, part of being in a group is hating the other group.

Maybe we would have mustaches vs beards, or the big booty loving tribe vs the big tit loving tribe… Maybe we would have just skipped over those things and gone to sports. Pretty efficient with sports.

Without faith there is no concept of “we”

What? Don’t tell me we are back on solipsism. I don’t think faith is required to get past solipsism.

We might be able to get past solipsism, but how do I know I can trust you???

LOL!!! (sry couldn’t help it)

Seriously though, you said faith is gullibility. Absolute opposite of gullibility is absolute loneliness. With absolutely zero faith you would have absolutely zero concept of “we”

I think it is, but don’t feel like putting you through the burden of proof for now

It has no evidence supporting it, so it can just be discarded. The one with the burden of proof would be me, claiming that only my mind exists, then I would have to convince myself of it lol.

What? It isn’t gullibility to trust someone as a friend if they haven’t done anything to lose that trust. At least that is my view. Sure, some would take the extreme position that nobody can be trusted, I think that is a bit to far. I don’t equate reasonable expectations with faith.

Trust and faith are way better synonyms than gullibility and faith

Would you say you have zero “faith” in your “friend”?

If I did it would not be in the same way as religious faith. If I said I have faith in a friend, it more means I have an expectation based on their past performance. I would use trust over faith in normal language for myself.

Great. Well for the future when you do force yourself to use the f word maybe you can try it as a synonym for trust rather than gullibility, but of course you don’t have to if you don’t want to…

I think you’ve just not lately noticed the evidence for it because you’ve already discarded it, I’m happy for you, btw

“We don’t know” jajajaja

Or not. Sometimes it’s divorce.

But that’s an IRRATIONAL belief, Aragorn. Gosh, can’t you read?

(sry, had to…)
