A guy I met a while back showed me his new tattoo. He said the guy at the parlor said it meant “strength”. I took a look at it and recognized it immediately as the kanji character for degrees (as in Celsius or Fahrenheit). Couldn’t bring myself to correct him though.

It’s thoroughly embarrassing to have to explain what it means to people, so I just tell them that I have no idea what it means, which is probably worse, but I’ve had this tattoo for about 9 years now so I just don’t care anymore.

This. I got a Taz tat, back in the late 80’s Tazmanianian devil was in. I later got it covered up. Funny thing the guy who did the tat had Bugs Bunny with this huge dick jacking off on his bicep. Talk about regrettable tattoos
