Reduced Dose - New Lab Results

You use to prevent gyno? Any other reason?

I have unfortunately. I played around with nolvadex at 20mg as well as 40mgs every day for a few months. Iā€™m prone to sensitivity to drugs at times. The side effects related to nolvadex became very pronounced at 40mg per day, specifically vision problems, anxiety, depression, insomnia and libido issues. Back to the drawing board. I dropped the nolvadex a couple of weeks back and symptoms are slowly resolving with libido, anxiety and insomnia still lingering.

Physio, youā€™ve never had any patients complain of any nolvadex sides? I see reports of the same side effects Iā€™ve encountered all over various trt, hrt and pharma forums online. Curious if you have any suggestions or ideas. Right now im back to 100 mg test cyp per week with some hcg sprinkled in.

So sorry man. No not at 20mg a day. Not all my guys use it.

At 20mgs the side were tolerable, but from a physique and testicular maintenance perspective 40mgs worked better, but the sides became intolerable at that dose.

What dosages of drugs were you running with it?

At the time only 60mg test cyp per week and 40mg nolvadex every day. I believe I may have increased my shbg to high levels and killed my free T since I reduced my T dose from 100mg to 60mg test cyp per week. Just to get back to some semblance of stability, Iā€™ve increased to test cyp 50mg twice per week and 150 ius hcg every other day.

Yea man thatā€™s a high tamoxifen dose for that little t

Iā€™ve thought for a while that TRT is made too complicated.

There are 3 reasons I started to feel like that:

  1. If HCG & other drugs were necessary to feel healthy, men whoā€™ve had their testes removed because of testicular cancer would have sub par well being because they only use testosterone replacement.

I realise Iā€™m a study size of one person haha, but because I donā€™t want kids & I donā€™t want to complicate things with more drugs, Iā€™ve never used HCG, just testosterone.

  1. Where in nature does a healthy manā€™s body produce anastrozole & tamoxifen?!

Nature doesnā€™t produce Arimidex or tamoxifen, so why would my body need those artificial drugs to be healthy?!

  1. What is a personā€™s holistic health like outside of TRT?

You need to care of your mind, body & spiritual fitness - TRT doesnā€™t work in isolation - everything works together.

I also subscribe to the belief that things like erectile dysfunction are the ā€˜canary in the coal mineā€™ - ED is an early warning system that your circulatory system may be clogged upā€¦

So if youā€™re on TRT & no other drugs like psychiatric meds (which are boner killers haha) & you have ED - what is your weight, diet & circulatory system like?

You may well have bigger problems than TRT to contend with - get one of those carotid artery scans & see what health your circulation is in.

As ever, I reserve the right to be pathetic & be completely distraught about TRT, next time I post, depending on what direction the wind is blowing :joy:

LH has other functions, specifically for hormone metabolism and conversion outside of leydig cell stimulation. This is often when men on TRT for years likely feel better if they start hcg or nolva. Another solution is to supplement with pregnenalone, but Iā€™ve read that LH is needed (for some portions, obviously not for T to E) throughout the attached figure to facilitate these conversions, so supplementing with pregnenalone may not be the end all be all.

Physio, so you have any input on the other functions of LH?

For the sake of satisfying my own curiosity, how long have you been on trt for mrmeeseeks?

You speak of nature and natural which no longer applies to those of us who are unnaturally and exogenously manipulating our testosterone levels and therefore our hpta feedback loop.

For 3.5 years, mate. Testogel for 3.25 years & Tostran 2% gel the last few months

Yeah, your situation has time to evolve then.
