Just got my recent labs back and both my total test and free test are almost twice the reference range. Blood draw 2 days after test shot as my doc doesn’t want trough. I’ve been feeling okay, not great, but have pain in both elbows and forearms which I thought was going to be due to low e2 but that’s not the case (see below). I’ve also noticed I’m getting a lot more body hair and losing it from my head which I assume will be a result of high DHT. Current protocol is 60mg test e3.5 days with .5mg Adex and 250 IU of hcg eod. Thinking I should reduce my test but doc seems happy with things as they are. Thoughts and advice would be appreciated gents.
S TESTO 45.2 nmol/l. (9.9 -27.8)
Free Test 1174 pmol/l (170 - 670)
Oestradiol 101 pmol/l (<160)
SHBG 35 nmol/l (17-56)
looks fine, the fact your doc in Australia (I presume it’s the doctor whoose last name starts with a Z), however that’s not who I see, but he is very good) is okay with these readings means he’s a keeper for sure, go by how you feel, fuck the numbers. If you feel great and aren’t experiencing any adverse affects then stay on it, however the adex isn’t the best idea, it isn’t great on the lipid profile long term.
I’d like to do away with the Adex but couldn’t do it without winding back the test. I might see if my doc will let me reduce the test so I move towards a protocol without an AI - just not sure that’s achievable considering I had high SHBG and E2 before starting trt.
Your E2 seems to be just fine. Not sure why you couldnt drop the adex like unreal suggested. Also, like he said go by how you feel not by the numbers. The test ranges out there are ridiculous. 170 is norm? ouch
Isn’t it the Adex keeping my e2 in the normal range?
If you are taking an AI and are in range and you stop taking the AI, life could get complicated if you stop the AI.
I think you need to reduce your dosage. Bring your free t in normal high range. Then you may be able to stop adex which could be causing joint pain.
