Red Wings vs. Stars

I saw red wings and thought “this is in the wrong forum”. Then I read some of the posts.

My bad.

As you were.

Bad call ref. Way to throw the game to keep the series going. Apparently Dallas realized they can’t win without putting a few bills in the ref’s pocket. Nice move.

Dallas won, but too little too late. This is kinda like Hillary’s win in WV. Won a battle but the war is over. Now it’s back to Detroit where Dallas can’t win on a bet.

It appears there is a new interretation to the rules. Not only can your skates not be in the paint, no body part can either. Still, it was probably to make up for the other night when we scored and his skates were in the crease.

With the undisiplined play of the Stars, the refs have to find a way to assess more penaltys to the Wings. Won’t matter in the overall scheme of things, and it’s more green for Mike Ilitch.

Apparently now they are going to have to put GPS chips in players asses to play a “fair” game.

I wish they’d make up their mind on how that damn crease rule is going to be called and stick to it. I’ve heard at least 3 versions since the start of this years playoffs.

Dallas played a good game, but there’s no way they’re going to win three more.

It also doesn’t presently look like the Penguins are going to sweep the Flyers either and Philadelphia is dominating that game.

Please don’t let them send us back to Dallas again. Can we end it here huh?

This is going to be the defining game. If the Wings go back to Dallas they are officially in trouble. If they win as anticipated, then their off to play the Penguins (The Flyers win was an anomaly.

We’ll see what happens here, but I’m not so sure about Philly’s win being a fluke. They REALLY came to life last game.

Sumgai, If the stars are such a bad team, how do you explain they destroyed the best 2 teams(aside from Detroit) in their first 2 series?

And f**k Osgood, to me he’s not worth any more than Sean Avery.

Here we go back to Dallas

Beginning of period 2. Wings up 3-0.

Zetterberg on a breakaway. Make that 4-0

Okay, I’m starting to relax.

Just a little though.

Stars suck.

Hahahaha… Wings get the job done. Next best thing to the Sharks winning, is watching Dallas lose. They didn’t do it in 4 but they did get them in six. Better tighen up though, Pittsburgh won’t be (at least shouldn’t be) a cake walk.

Bring on the Penguins

I don’t think the Penguins have it.

I’m just glad the games will be on earlier.

A comparison was made between Crosby and Malkin (Trib: Tony Ortiz on The Ticket), as being Jordan and Pippen. While I find this to be a bit of a stretch, I wouldn’t write the Penguins off.

The series is ours to lose. Pittsburgh will not take us down with both teams at their best. However we will have to be at our best which as has been seen is not a given at all times. They’re on a mission which will be apparent in the way they are sure to attack right from the opening drop. We do however have the best blue line by far that they will have faced this post season. Better than theirs and factors like our superior faceoff control will play a part as well.
