All right the big day is finally here. Stanley Cup Finals Game One Red Wings vs Penguins in Joe Louis Arena. Mod Laurie will be here soon, everyone knows where Tiribulus is from/stands. Whats everyone else think? I am calling Wings in five (although I rather see the full 7 just to have two more games before the shutdown). Got a case of Guiness and a flat screen! This is going to be a great series.

This has been haunting me:
I am beginning to hate the Penguins and Crosby even though I never have in the past. The unbelievably lopsided preview coverage has me praying for a blitzkrieg on these guys and I’m not usually like that.
What’s more those fairies have all their forums closed so no outsiders can join. WTF, our forums are open to anybody. I’m a member of a bunch of other teams forums, but not in Pittsburgh. Bring em on. Let’s get this underway already.
Tonight’s a big night with the opening game for the Wings and the Pistons back home looking to go up 2-1.
I’d love to see a sweep, but I’m not as optimistic as Steven. I think it’s going to be a hard fought series and closer to Road Warrior’s predictions of Wings in 5…or maybe 6.

Just for respect I want 4 games by 6 goals. I’m tired of all the Sidney Cup Finals coverage. Of course I won’t get that, but I do think we’ll win, but it won’t be easy.

Yeessss! Bruuuahahahha! 4 to zip! Can you spell out shot, out classed and overwhelmed. If the Wings can keep this intensity, the cup is a cake walk. Penguin’s biggest problem? Crosby can’t play the whole game by himself! Playing the Red Wings is not like beating the Flyers, the Flyers are from Penn. too.
Very nice! Good to see the Wings playing so well, because the Pistons definitely aren’t.

I’m friends with Robert Lang, so I root for him, but not the Hawks.
My best case scenario hopes came true tonight.
Pittsburgh is a horrible faceoff team, we are the best and that showed. Draper 68%
Pittsburgh’s defense could not contain even our lesser lines and we held their top line to squat.
Fleury wasn’t bad, but his youth under pressure showed. Osgood was a rock.
Outshot them 36-19
The series is ours to lose like I said before. This is still only game one. The next game will define the series. If the Penguins can step up and get over the spankin here it’s still a series. If they are now intimidated and we keep our game they are in for a humiliating finals.

Lets hope for the latter, the only thing good to come out of Pennsylvania is an empty bus.
