Is recovery time faster when using gear or that a myth. I work one muscle group once per week(Ex. chest, back, legs). But, wondering if i use gear, if the recovery time would be quicker. Could I work same muscle twice in a week while on gear? Or does it just matter on your goals?
Quicker recovery time would be one of the main benefits from taking gear due to the fact your bodys ability to syntisize protein and hence rebuild itself is much increased. Just to be worned I would expect some of the guys on this tread to jump on you for asking such an obvious question.

Yup, it’s the main benefit along with increased protein accretion. That’s also why many pro BB’ers were able to handle AM/PM workout splits when gear became more prevalent. You’ll be able to increase your workload while “on”.
thanks. The reason I asked is because I have read a few articles on the net(not this site) that said there is no faster recovery time. Just wanted to get more info. I know I’ll catch some grief, but what the hell. You gatta start somewhere.
yep. Faster recovery time, strength and endurance. Make hay while the sun is shining and use the opportunity.
In my experience there is a significant difference between being on and being off. Recovery is faster, gains are faster, strength surges, you feel “pumped” on off days. Like anything I’m sure it is possible to overreach but on gear the fenceline is moved back considerably.
I train almost every day on the sauce, I can’t help it. If I stay at home I run around in circles. If I am really trying to rest I will just do abs/cardio.
