hey Z-man what are those cookies like? was there a good T-man spin to it?
I got the idea because i have been putting scoops of protein powder in sugar free pudding for a while, then i stumbled upon John Williams recipes on John Beradi’s site. This is a chocolate lovers variation on his cheesecake(which is a must make!)
1 medium/large whitefish or tilapia - Gutted, scaled and cleaned
in a bowl combine:
2 diced tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1/4 cup Lemon Juice
1 tsp soy sauce
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 tsp Garlic Paste
1 tsp Ginger Paste
1 tsp salt (I always use Kosher salt)
In a narrow baking pan, brush the bottom with oil and spread a part of the mixture alng the bottom.
Make 3 shallow slashes diagonally on each side of the fish.
PLace the fish on top of the mixture on the bottom of the pan. Put the rest of the mixture inside the fish and on top.
Cover the pan with Tin Fiol and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily from the bone with a fork.
Plate onto a platter. garnish with a little fresh cilantro and Enjoy!
This dish presents nicely and goes well with boiled rice.
1 cup non-fat vanilla soy drink
1 cup light cranberry juice (aspartame sweetened)
2-3 scoops low carb low lactose protein powder
1 cup frozen strawberries
Combine in blender until smooth.
If you’re not worried about carbs use regular sweetened juice.
If you’re worried about the soy I dunno, I am fairly lactose intolerant.
I tried working on am working on a dairy alternative, including non-fat lactaid milk, vanilla extract and honey, but it didn’t pan out. Tasted off - I think the enzymes in the lactaid munch on the protien powder and make it taste “off”.
