Recently started my TRT/HCG prescription from Optimale here in the UK. This is my third week. Having never self injected anything before it is taking a little while getting use to.
My prescription is Enanthate: 0.20mls twice weekly HCG: 0.20mls after mixing with 2mls of BAC water twice weekly
Whilst I know any form of TRT takes time to kick in and I’m by no means expecting the world to be set alight this quickly. But what I have noticed and I’m wondering if anyone else experienced this after starting, is that my gentleman area is quite often numb and feels very tight and my libido is non existent and I struggle to get and maintain a quality erection, I also have a dull ache behind the public bone
I’ve spoken to Optimale and they’ve said it’s unlikely the meds (although this all started in the second weekend) so they’re bringing my blood work forward to check things. And I’m also waiting on a referral by my GP to a urologist for ultra sounds and scans
Since this all largely kicked in after starting, I’m thinking there is a link. But being told by Optimale it’s not common. Wanted to ask in here if anyone else experienced something similar after starting TRT
Supposed I’m hoping whatever is going on can be diagnosed and resolved quickly, as it’s playing havoc with my head
Your hormone levels are still building up to a steady state, at 4 to 6 weeks you will have twice the amount of testosterone as when you first started. It can take longer for your body to adapt to the new hormonal set-point, 8-12 weeks.
You aren’t expected to reach maximum benefit, or almost full benefit at the 1 year mark. For a small number of men, they experience benefits very quickly.
This is where your genetics come in to play.
As of right now, your testicles are not being stimulated by luteinizing hormone, the dull ache should disappear soon.
Some men can’t tolerate hCG at all, at any dosage, and will cause nothing but problems. That would be mood problems, irritability, anxiety, ED, lower libido and fluid retention.
This is one reason why I don’t recommend it with TRT, unless using it for fertility. In this case, get on, get your wife pregnant, get off.
The majority of men do quite well on TRT once they are dialed in on their protocol.
You need to learn to communicate properly when it comes to your medicine. This means NOTHING, but a volume. I assume you are Test E at 250mg/ml as that’s the only thing that would make sense meaning 100mg/wk. Confirm. Your HCG dose could be anything, so we need to know concentration and/or how many iu you are taking.
Gents, both your replies have done a great deal to help, I truly appreciate it.
re the HCG, I did ask the dr about this at the point of prescription, as I explained fertility isn’t a concern of mine. As me and my partner are beyond the kidlets stage, but he wanted me to at least give a try hence being on it
Being patient I can be no issues at all. Just since this is all new and symptoms described started so soon after starting, anxiety and worry has kicked in
@blshaw sorry man, I’m totally new to this, and it’s a lot learn/take in. But to clarify my prescription
So for Enanthate (250mg/ml) - my dose is 0.20mls twice weekly. 0.20mls is equivalent to 50mg of Enanthate so I’m on 100mg of Enanthate per week.
The HCG is 5000iu - my dose of 0.20mls twice weekly after mixing with 2mls of BAC water is equivalent to 500iu per dose - so 1000iu per week.
No need to be sorry, I’m just trying to point you in the right direction so you can get proper advice moving forward. Sometimes I’m just direct about it, mostly because I multitask.
You seem like on a reasonable and responsible protocol. Many guys feel fine with HCG, I didn’t. Outside of fertility use, my opinion is its wasted money as well as can throw off your protocol balance. I take a systematic approach as in one new drug at a time. Test solo first, if you get atrophy beyond your liking you could throw in HCG after giving it 6-8 weeks minimum.
You guidance is mega appreciated buddy, thank you
I’m having my bloods taken next week, which will be week 4. I’ll then speak to the doc about the results, next steps etc
Overall it does sound like I need to give it a little more time and some of what I’m feeling will subside soon. If not, then I may press the doc to stop the HCG and just focus on the test. Since the fertility side of things isn’t important to me. Trial and error seems to be Optimales approach
