Mine is very minimal and not noticeable yet but was on propecia for a while, experienced side effects and am back to normal now.
Stay away from that shit, serious! It just sucks that there aren’t many non-surgical options…

Myth or not, it was true in my case. My Dad and his brothers have all their hair.

Actually, there are 2 variants of the male pattern baldness gene recently discovered by a group at McGill University that may effect a small percentage of the male population. But this only occurs in caucasians. That’s you white folk.
And Nate, scientists get a littly testy when we hear the word “myth”. Never set off the wrath of nerds.
Shave it, get hyuooge, problem solved.
I’ve always wondered this, but didn’t really think it was appropriate:
Why are most caucasian guys so apprehensive about shaving their heads??
And don’t tell me its because you’re afraid to be labeled a “skin head”…lol.

LOL! My mom use to say that all the time… “People are going think you’re a skinhead!” I didn’t even Bic my head, I just take it down as far as I can with an electric razor. Kind of ridiculous, really.

for the record, it’s the skin head thing for me, I’ve got a nice shaped noggin, but even keeping it real short (1/8") got me some hostile looks.
cultural stigma too, “respectable” white businessmen all have hair on their head, however little their may be.
same thing with visible tattoos or piercings, they don’t affect the quality of your work, but people make a big deal about it.
then there’s always the problem of moles… not exactly sexy.

Yeah,I remember my senior year in HS…the entire football team shaved their heads for playoffs. But what was funny is that all my white teammates caught hell from other teams and their fans. “racist peckerwoods”…blah…blah. It was sad…but we all laughed about it for weeks.
If you have the right shape head, then you can get away with it regardless of your color. But if you have an egg shaped dome, your screwed.

true…I was apprehensive myself about shaving my head when I started balding.
But mental images of Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince convinced me to do so.
Uncle Phil was a bad ass in my opinion. Wasn’t he a judge in the show? In this day and age, and also in the near future, the remedies for hair loss will be so good that it will no longer be an issue. The days of horrible looking plugs are over.
Not trying to rain on your parade, but if they don’t have a cure for picard…I wouldn;t hold my breath.
Not to mention the bald characters in Futurama…

Picard doesn’t need hair, he has his own ship, and has a crew of freaky looking people around him. I think if you are at the point of Picard you are better off shaving it.

The hair started to recede at about thirty and started to grow back at fifty. Don’t ask how or why because I don’t know. I really would like to find out, make a little money.
