Rebirth of the Juggernaut: Brute Force and Ignorance (Part 1)

They could probably feel even better if you adjusted some other things too

Yup. Didn’t wanna have to say it, but it is, of course, the truth.

I have you covered :joy:

Feel free, but I’ll warn you in advance: you will not convince me that moving less will make me more hungry or that strenuous exercise will make me less hungry apart from very briefly if I push too hard and get nauseous.

I have been never been as famished in my life as after crazy training. Proof: yesterday and today. And on days with ā€œregular trainingā€ I can almost not cheat

@aldebaran @dagill2 good point!
I think the idea is that when sedentary, appetite is higher than what’s necessary for weight maintenance and In the case of intense exercise, this:

Is appetite increased or are people bored?

My thoughts too.

Although if you restate it as a tendency to overeat or undereat when compared to maintenance, then I might be able to get on board.

I will restate

Did axle Grace in 5:08. Still hurting from yesterday. Left elbow is a bit achey.

More photos. I am looking meatier while weight is about the same. Wonder if I am doing that whole ā€œrecompā€ thing.

Your obliques are wider than some peoples lats. Did you do anything specific for them or just lift heavy shit every which way?

Genetics honestly. I get it from my mom. I do zero direct oblique training, as every time I have done it, that very week I end up injuring my back on something. Happened enough times I didn’t care if it was a coincidence, haha. Been a boon for lifting heavy things. Makes it hard to not have love handles though. I have like no waist but wide hips. I am wearing a size 30" jeans these days and they fall off.

Slightly odd question, but what’s your chest and waist measurements? If 30ā€ jeans fall off you must have a weird waist.

No idea. Haven’t been measured in a long time.

While I am doing photos, here is my nightly high fat meal

1 keto toast with natural pb, 1 with natural almond butter

2 celery stalks with nuts n more peanut spread, 2 with almond spread

See, this is the waist size I SHOULD be wearing, but my gigantic-shelf ass won’t let me.

Still looking shredded as hell, man. Kudos, even though your inner fatboy is calling you lately.

Your pressing is even more impressive given how fecking long those arms seem.

@kdjohn Much appreciated dude. And man, I lost my glutes during this weight loss, haha. Been doing daily GHRs in the hopes of getting them back. Totally relate. Used to have to wear Levi’s 569s just to accommodate the baggage.

@heretolog Thanks man. I’m like a lab grown deadlifter. Stupidly short torso, mutant long arms, long thin fingers. Whenever I watch myself press, it’s like watching Dhalsim from Street Fighter. It was something I took pride in at strongman comps. I’d crush the deadlift event, and dudes would be like ā€œIt’s just because you have long armsā€, and I’d reply ā€œDidn’t I beat you on the press?ā€ Haha.

AM WORKOUT (0305)

EMOM-Odd minute front squat triple at 190, even minute SSB squat triple at 260

32 rounds total

50 chins

50 band pull aparts

25 band pushdowns

Front squat followed immediately by SSB squat
32x135
8x135

GHR
1x30

Notes: 5lbs more and 2 more rounds than previous workout: can’t be upset with progress like that. I continue to appreciate this workout for what it is. My right knee ached coming down the stairs this morning: still dealing with the tweak from last week. Focused on turning that knee out during front squats. Trying to sink them rock bottom results in that knee wanting to twist to the inside. The ā€œsalt the earthā€ front squat set at the end keeps being awesome. I really dig racking the bar in the yoke, stumbling to my rack and then hammering out the SSBs. Just completely torches me, and makes the workout go straight from simple conditioning and restoration to building. Got in some daily work in the middle. Still ā€œoweā€ the ab wheel, but may just skip it today. I’m working 12s for the next 3 days, starting today, so training may get pushed to the weekend.

Guts have been a bit twitchy. It seems I’ve developed an intolerance to peppers. They were a big part of getting ā€œcolorā€ in my diet, so I’ll be getting more creative it seems. I unfortunately seem to best handle a bland diet, and I figure that’s not ideal from a nutritional standpoint, but it’s always been a balancing act.

Oh yeah, and caffeine is going to be SUPER ridiculous these next few days.

Is this like chili peppers or paprika (language barrier)?
