List your reasons for why now is a good time to attack Iran. I’ll start.
(1) The troops are already there, and we’ve almost got Iraq secure (which is why we don’t see all the bloodshed in the MSM anymore).

What is “they hate our freedom”.
Because they have loads of oil.
Because a Saddam-free Iraq is a natural ally of Tehran.
Because the very influential people making guns demand turnover.
Because Iran ditched the dollar.
Because of AIPAC.
Because it’ll piss off the entire world and foster terrorism.
Because HH gets kicks from watching bombs dropped on civilians from the confort of his couch.

See, you can be so constructive if you want to!
Why not more often?

(1) The troops are already there - check
and we’ve almost got Iraq secure[/quote] - bwahaha! good one, let’s talk this over in a year, kay?
(9) because the war shall never, EVER end!
(10) because Hillary will be knee deep in shit when she will enter her office!Hehe, serves her well!
(11) because you have to settle the score once and for all with the soviets who’s got the better vacuum bomb, and how better showing it off then dropping it on real enemies!
(12)because all good stories like the middle east conflict are told in trilogies!
(13)because you have to show the world that only americans can defeat an F-14!
hey, this is fun! Let’s all make up stupid excuses! I bet we can do even better then gawd (whom Dubya speaks for, as he keeps repeating).

All good reasons so far (though killing terrorists usually discourages that, so 7 needs work.)
(9)The people of Iran are suffering under an evil regime that kills off people who happen to be gay. OT: Lixy, is that why you left your country?
Why?
It will take focus off Iraq.
It will put a stranglehold on their antisemitism.
It will stop/slow them from producing Nukes.
We don’t need to have someone who claims Isreal should be wiped off the map, and says America is Satan to have WMD.
We already have a good staging ground from east and west.
They have no Homosexuals and that’s just WRONG!
Also Because Iranians SMELL LIKE armpits. It’s especially foul when they get on a plane…don’t these guys wash their armpits? The women stink too! On more than 3 different occasions I could smell these guys/women 3-5 rows back!!!
Do they like the smell? I tell you what… I’ve never smelled something as foul as an unwashed Middle Eastern. Must be the food.
The last one is not a reason to invade…I generalized…and so what! It’s just an observation! LOL.
1: Short of mobilizing the entire National Guard and Reserve, we don’t have the manpower for an invasion of Iran, plus occupation of Iraq.
2: Worrying about Israel isn’t our job, so what if they get blown off the face of the planet, just call HollyWood, Florida and New York City to contribute Zionist volunteers to fight Iran. There’d be enough of 'em!
3: John and Jane Q. Taxpayer can’t afford it, regardless of how “great our economy is”.
I’m disagreeing because I saw combat in Iraq. Short of a few people here, I’ve earned the right to disagree. I don’t want to be called “Un-American” because I’m in the Reserves and “don’t want to fight”. On the contrary, I’m counting the months in eager anticipation for my Reserve Unit’s next tour to Iraq. I’m willing to go, but I’d rather not fight for a self serving group of people that base their claims to a contested piece of land on “The Torah” (Israel/AIPAC)
Iarns people hate it’s government.
We should have no demonized their president, and than asked him to allow Condi to speak at their unis.
They’re the most liberal, most modern, and most progressive non-Israeli middle eastern nation. How about we try for some inner-political change before we give the kids a reason to suddenly become nationalists by invading?
And killing terrorist obviously makes more terrorist. If they had no one killing there people, they wouldn’t be terrorists (mostly).

While I don’t agree with bombing them, I believe all change in Iran must come from within, and the hopes of that happening is slim.
They had a moderate president and the hardliners destroyed any attempt to bring about change. They can blame it on the US and the “axis of evil 2” speech all they want, but they cracked down before the speech was given.
While the Mullahs are in charge, and can keep their power base by bashing the US and Israel, nothing will change. All attempts by us to change it will increase their power hold.
Ideology makes more terrorists. If they teach their people to hate us, they will hate us.

It’s only fair, after all our media teaches us to hate them… and looking around here it’s doing a fine job of it too.
Psst, nobody bother learning any lessons from Iraq, by the way.

I cant agree with number 6, Israel would find that attacks would increase even if they had the slightest involvement. and Muslim Jew war would surely send the middle east into a spiral of self destruction. Yes Iran could be considered Antisemitic but according to a Rabbi I was talking to a few weeks ago, there are also semitic Arabs around the place so the term Antisemitic shouldnt be used.
Anti Israeli would be a better term and even then I think you would need to look at the Zionist idea for your comment to make real sense. As a country Israel should have the right to defend itself against any threat but they need to weigh the risks of it all. What the western world needs to do is immediately place sanctions on Iran and used economic power to try and bring about a change in government in Iran. If the people cant eat and they know its because of the president they will soon figure out what they need to do so they can eat again.
As for reasons, again your reasons come from the mind of a pro Islam conspiracy theorist. I did value your input but I still read too much emotion coming from you.
Here are my reasons for attacking Iran.
Well there is no concrete proof that we shoudl go to war and after Americas intelligence leading into Iraq this needs to be questioned.
Why dosent someone just come out and say the following:
“We are going to attack Iran for the simple reason that we dont like them”…
At least that person is showing they have a set of balls.
Also looking back at your comment of a Saddam free Iraq being a natural ally of Tehran, I think you would agree that the president (through apparent democratic election) of Iraq would be Pro-America…?

I made the same observation in a previous thread… Lixy wouldnt hear of it but thats because he smells like wee-wee and Toblerone.

2 points:
The sanctions on Iraq didn’t help the Iraqis get rid of Saddam, and as bad as he was. The radical muslims and other American haters blamed US for all of the deaths due to Saddam not feeding his own people so we still got a bad rap out of that.
The Iraqi government is a Shia majority and some elements are backed by Iran.

And the majority of Americans think that Saddam was somehow responsible for 9-11 and they have far less reasons to think o than Iraquis have after you cut their power supply (hospitals, air condition) and destroyed their water facilities.
“They” do not blame you for that because they are America haters, they became America haters watching their parents and children die.
(10) It may have a domino effect. If one more evil regime is toppled, then the rest of the whole ediface may go.
We can then proceed to help the people of the ME make a better life for themselves. Remember, their oil runs out in 50 or so years. If we can conquer the ME and help them enter a modern industrial era, they can become part of civilisation.
I mean, let’s face it, the Mullah-Imam- gee let’s whip girls for showing an ankle plan is not working for these folks.

If that’s your concern, then you may wanna start with Saudi Arabia.

They complain about the smell of Americans too.
