Reason for Geared Powerlifting?

i read this when first posted, louie has ALSO been quoted as saying that when he really wants to know who the strongest people are, he looks at the deadlifts, because that is the lift equipment makes the least impact.

I like raw powerlifting. I also like geared powerlifting. I want to be good at both – and I realize that they are not the same thing. Here’s my jam:

probably started as a way to boost ego. then all the best did it, and the rest wanted the best competition so started gearing up to

Same question as why do a lot of IFBB pros juice. Everyone has limits, and gear and roids lifts those limits. Never seen someone squat 1200, ATG, butt nekid before and probably won’t anytime soon.

i am a fan of RAW lifting!, and i hope powerlifitng takes a move towards more RAW lifting!
