Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

I think @studhammer may have some input there

Sorry, I’ve only tested HGH levels to see how good my source was.

Have you tried mk677?

It’s a strong alternative to the injectable peptides.

Superior because it’s oral? I was taking Ibutamoren, which was oral and was fine (way more convenient) but didn’t do much. I just wonder whether I should be bothering with IGF at all — will it impact libido and general sense of well-being? That’s mainly what I’m after with HOT. The body comp stuff is very nice too.

Well, I didnt say superior. I said it’s a strong alternative if you look at the studies. My sleep was dramatically better when I have it in the past. I would start at 12.5 and ramp to only 25mg at the peak. It does increase water retention a bit, but can be combated by adding a bit of potassium. I had a slight increase in libido and wellbeing - mainly due to increased sleep quality. I was using to help heal some niggling injuries and to help with recovery from a hard cutting cycle.

Anyone know anyone else who can speak to the effects of raising IGF-1 on HOT? Gonna place an order and debating what I should do.

@bkb333 - I’m admittly ignorant with these things and not sure if it’s the same thing, but think @jackolee used to take peptides?

Thanks brother, it is indeed a peptide. Would love to hear what @jackolee has to say. I just ordered more Ipamorelin but not sure if I’m just spinning my tires/wasting money.

I’m not familiar with HOT, only sermorelin and GHRP 2 and 6. I took the plunge and just started running HGH. (Currently on day 2 of 6 months). I’m hoping it’s as good as what I’ve seen thus far.

Here’s my take on my experience with peptides over the last two years. I had labs done regularly and they proved to significantly raise my igf1 levels. With sermorelin alone I’d stay around 200-250, and with ghrp2 in the mix between 250-320. Too of the rsnge for my age group is around 250. They were so side effect free that I too felt like I was spinning my wheels. I do notice however when I’m off for an extended period of time that my body fat is noticeably higher. I also think that I’m able to carry a little more muscle effortlessly while on them.

I don’t believe there is any change in libido in manipulating my igf1, but do notice significantly better sleep as well as boosted mood. As I said earlier I’m running HGH currently but am too early in the cycle to have any solid info

Very interesting. So it’s basically body-comp stuff? Is GHRP2 your favorite? I’ve tried MK-677 (Ibutamoren) and Ipamorelin. I wanted to try Tesamorelin but my pharmacy hasn’t had it available. Looking forward to hearing about your HGH experience.

Just realized MK-677 is Ibutamoren, lol. So yeah, I’ve taken that one. It was definitely a lot more convenient than injecting Ipamorelin but I didn’t notice any real changes, and my IGF didn’t go up much.

The sermorelin paired with ghrp2 was my fav

Here’s an off-the-wall question for my fellow meatheads: What’s your favorite way to celebrate a big accomplishment?

I landed a huge research publication today. It’s my third of the year, and my advisor says he’s forcing me to do something big. But the ways most people celebrate don’t really appeal to me, so I’d love to hear your ideas.

I may be misunderstanding the question, so forgive me if that’s the case…

ā€œCelebrationā€ is a very general term and is very much defined by the individual. Basically, whatever is enjoyable to you, but you normally refrain from is a suitable indulgence for celebration. This is of course contingent upon staying within the lines of your own morality and/or any legal authority lol!

If you like ice cream, then your celebration may be a trip to the Dairy Queen. If you enjoy a good stiff drink and dancing, then spend a night doing that. It can be as complex as taking a trip to another country, or as simple as having a sugar loaded milk shake from McDonalds. All up to you brother.

My personal favorite (when the finances afford it) is taking the wife to the local steakhouse and having a couple of drinks with a nice fat juicy wood fire grilled ribeye! We have a dual purpose cheat/date day once a week (usually go do the lunch specials at Applebee’s or something), and we’ll save the steakhouse for celebration purposes (maybe once every few months).

We don’t tend to wait for big life events to have a celebration. We try to celebrate life in general somewhat consistently throughout the year. To us, it’s a huge accomplishment to still be healthy, breathing, eating, and have a roof over heads at the beginning and end of each day. That, to us anyway, is a fine reason to celebrate!

Quick update on the whole house hunting discussion we had going…

We haven’t found anything yet, and this market is only getting crazier by the day. That being said, we decided to shift our focus completely from finding a permanent home to getting something we can live with for a while. Basically we’re looking for something to invest in for 3-5 years, and unlike paying rent like we do now, maybe some of the money we spend every month can come back to us through resale at the end of this venture.

Case in point, we’re going to just store our gym equipment and join a gym for the time being so that opens up a few more options housing wise. I found a hidden benefit in our health insurance called Active&Fit. We pay $25 a month per person, and can go to any participating gym in the network. We can even go to one gym today and a different one tomorrow if we want. Pretty cool option considering that a membership at some of the gyms that are around here can run upwards of $50-$80 a month per person.

There is a Snap Fitness a few blocks from where we live now, and the areas that we are looking to buy in have serval more gyms close by that participate.

I’m not too big on going to the gym, but it may be pretty cool to have some other machine options that I don’t have with my current setup. Especially on leg day!!

Usually a $250 dinner for two (I dont say the price as a brag but just as a matter of fact based on the nicer restaurants we gravitate towards for a celebratory dinner). Though that might be tough if Im not drinking booze LOL. Those fancy bourbon drinks can be $20 a pop. Will just have to order the wife a $100 bottle of wine. Win win

This is a question I’ve never really thought about. I’m fixing to move into a new position at work with a big pay bump. Maybe I should celebrate? But I have no idea how. All the things mentioned so far we already do just because lol.
