Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

How long have you been on the current protocol now since you dropped your dose?

It’s been 2.5 months.

Also forgot to note that we are replacing Ibutamoren (25 mg ED) in my protocol with Tesamorelin. My IGF-1 on this last test was 207 (Ref 63-373), and a year ago it was at 288, so it seems I am not responding too well to Ibutamoren. I’ve read positive things about Tesamorelin, so I’m excited to try it out, though adding another injectable is a hassle.

Is that stuff expensive?

Ok. I may have missed it if you already posted this, so forgive me if this is redundant…

What was your TT and Free T on the protocol before vs the current protocol. I did see that you already posted the differences in SHBG and E2…

All good, brother! Here you go:

Total T: 1919 (Ref 250-1100; last test 2889)
Free T: 422 (Ref 35-155; last test 543)

In terms of ratios, it was 1.9% and is now 2.2%.

The Tesamorelin? I actually don’t know yet. But Ibutamoren is pretty costly, and I think this will be cheaper. Fortunately I get it all covered by insurance!

What’s the math here?

Ok based on that, I would say that’s your E2 is still a little low.

There’s something to the ratio thing. A lot of guys have reported being at their best with a ratio (TT / E2) of around 15 or so.

Your last protocol was TT- 2889 / E2 91 = 31 You felt really good here, but tbh your in Supra ranges there so you’d probably feel good no matter what.

Your current is TT - 1919 / E2 - 84 = 22

Your getting closer but if you let E2 go a little higher with that T level, I’d bet you would feel better.

That’s the Free T/Total T ratio. My provider says 2-3% is where guys normally feel best.

I get that but do you know the math equation?

I’m not following your question, sorry. It’s just Free T divided by Total T.

Thats the equation! Hahaha…thanks.

Hmm. Now I’m really confused. My provider wanted to see the E2 number drop. He said 30-40 would probably be optimal for me. You’re saying I should want E2 to go up?

I had just never figured out my ratio before. Looks like I am at 2.6%
This is trough on 70mg@twice a week so 140mg.
TT = 1137 (250 - 1100)
Free T = 295.6 (35 - 155)
E2 (Ultra Sens) = 65 (< = 29)

Impressive. And your TT:E ratio, which @bmbrady77 is talking about, is 17.5 (he says ~15 is usually best). So those numbers look pretty much optimal based on what I’ve seen. You’re dialed in, brother!

The numbers just confirm how I feel. But I do like to see everything is in line.

For sure. Interestingly, the prescribed ratios don’t back up how I feel. I felt better with ā€œworseā€ Free T/Total T and Total T/E ratios previously. But that’s probably just because my Free T was so high (543) and is now, though still high, slightly lower (422).

When I was on 210mg a week (injecting EOD so no real trough) my TT was 1998 and FT was 457.7 which puts my ratio at 2.3% but I didnt feel as good as I do at my current levels. So slightly inverse to yours.

So you feel better with Free T at 296 than you did at 458? Fascinating. That’s what I’m hoping for. I’m a little wary of dropping my Free T but am trusting it’s for the best.
