It seems to work well for many high-SHBG guys. The case studies are old dudes but they seem to get hornier and have much more sex, lol.
The best I’ve felt was summer 2019 when I was taking Danazol. I eliminated it because I was concerned about long-term viability. I guess that concern is still in the back of my mind but I wanted to give it another shot.
I travel pretty often and obviously bring my hormonal treatments (currently T and Danazol) with me.
What do you think of packing vitamins (DHEA, B12, fish oil, D3)? Is it essential or will I feel the same, and it’s no big deal if I skip an occasional week or weekend?
Hey Swoops, tell me more on this. I can get it UGL, and my BP is a little higher than what I would like. I hear all sorts of good stuff about Telimisartan. Lowers BP, hemocrit, increase in IGF-1, reduces LVH, etc… How much has 10 mg daily helped with BP for you?
on TRT my BP was 140/90 on average, and I saw a video on Telmisartan so I requested it from my doc, along with Ezetimibe. I started on 20mg daily (also while taking 2.5mg Cialis daily, but I had been taking that for months) and after a week of bad headaches my BP was down to 105/70, and I was getting really, really tired all the time. So I went to 10mg at night and that’s been pretty well, I still get a dull headache sometimes but it’s not nearly as bad. BP stays around 120/75 even when I up my test dose or add in some Var. I don’t know about HCT yet, but I’m hoping it helps some since I was at 54% before starting it (I was also taking high dose P5P which I found out later can raise HCT. Have since stopped that, so I will never know which one had the real impact if HCT is lower).
Starting it was kinda like starting the Cialis; a week or so of headaches and kinda “meh” before I normalized to it, but now it’s fine
My readings fluctuate quite a bit. Sometimes I am close to that level. Which has gotten me thinking about starting a BP med. I am blasting now though. I might try it on blast (I’ll start at 10 mg if I do). I’d probably monitor it closely as I drop down to cruise.
It seems like a lot of bodybuilders are raving about this drug.
yeah, I saw one guy on YouTube going on and on about how great 80mg of this stuff was. He said even if you don’t have high BP you should be taking it, and all I could think was he’s got a lot of dumb newbies that watch his channel and are gonna take this med and pass out while lifting because they don’t understand why he’s recommending it or what it does. Irresponsible, IMO.
I’ve been trying to learn as much as possible about it. I also believe in titrating drugs up over time if needed. I am not going to die of high BP tomorrow (at least I don’t think). I can afford to start low and see what it does, see if there are negatives.
I have seen a few YouTubers recommend it in general if using gear. I think that is a little broad. I think one should at least have high BP with it (although it appears it may help with cardiac remodeling due to androgens, esp. Nand). IDK enough about it yet to make recommendations like that.
Agreed, that recommendation is too broad. I spoke with Saya about taking it, but given that I don’t have high BP, he thought that was extreme and presumptive.
Maybe I’ll go that route eventually - seems smart if you have BP issues - but for now we’re doing Tadalafil as a preventive measure.
TT (>1500) and FT (>57.45) both look good. Ordered LC/MS, but LabCorp apparently messed that up. The ratio of 3.83 looks great to me.
E2 (101) is very high.
SHBG (70.4) is a little high but looks fine. Pretty surprised the Danazol didn’t knock it down more. On this same T dose last time, without Danazol, my SHBG was 85.
Not concerned about HCT (51.1) or HGB (17.4).
ALB (5.4) is a little high but always is.
Cholesterol numbers aren’t great but aren’t terrible either. Pretty similar to past results.
ALP (38) is low.
How I’m feeling? OK. Not great. Gym performance and libido are pretty good. I’ve been in a very negative headspace lately, but it’s hard to parse out other lifestyle factors (winter, recovering from surgery, stress of parenthood, etc).
