Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

Haha stop tempting me!

With regard to Anavar and lipids, I realize during your Anavar cycle some or most users will experience a worsening of their lipid profile. If one were to do an 8 week cycle of Test C plus Anavar, what would be the long term negative impact? I guess if you did several cycles a year there may be a cumulative effect. But, if you were to do two cycles a year and then you ate super clean would there be a lasting impact?

Also, I had read that no flush Niacin doesn’t help with cholesterol. What product should I look for instead? Thanks

I use Ezetimibe, pretty harmless

Nobody knows really. All educated guesses. You might be the one lucky guy who runs them once and it’s screwed for ever, or you may run orals for the rest of your life and live to be a jacked 99 years old. It’s all a gamble! It seems history tell us that moderate doses used sparingly increases your chances of coming out the other side ok… but you never really know. Its all a gamble!

My total cholesterol has run around 200 for over 10 years. My ldl is between 120-140. My hdl has been as high as 47 but as low as 27. So my total cholesterol is okay but my ratio of hdl/ldl is poor. I should have hdl over 40. With taking 160 mg of test cyp each week I think it’s hurting my hdl. My recent labs have all been below 32 but no lower than 27. I’m going to try eating fruit nuts oatmeal each day. I’m thin so maybe a shot of olive oil each day.

I was thinking of running an Anavar cycle for fun but now I’m thinking it’ll really screw up my lipids. If there is a forever chance of them being permanently screwed up it’s not worth it. Especially since my lipid profile isn’t wonderful to begin with.

I’d fix your lipids before running it, but even so I don’t think you’re going to get long-lasting negative health impact from it. You’re talking about a transient imbalance.

You can try diet, or you can try meds/supps

Jc, what do u think the Var was doing to make u have such negative subjective issues, specifically with mood. Do u think it was effecting ur E2 or prolactin in some negative ways?

Ya Var is strong stuff when it comes to messing with labs. On 15mg/ day my SHBG went from 39 to 11. So I would think that 5mg/ day would lower SHBG quite a bit. If that’s not enough, 10mg/ day would probably be all that was needed to lower SHBG to where u want it

What’s ur current full protocol? I recently came off Var as well, only 15mg/ day, but definitely didn’t feel the best on it. Sounds like ur recovering pretty well from the negative effects it had on u. How long did u run it for? And what dose did u run again? And I assume it’s safe to say u won’t ever be touching it again? Lol

Yeah man, I run very high SHBG naturally. The var took mine quite low, which made my T numbers look great, but I had super weird side effects that my doc chalked up to E. I know some people think the more E the better, but I probably had too much free E. Not sure. Just know I felt horrible.

I ran 50 mg EOD for about 2 months. Definitely never touching it again. I probably won’t touch anything supplemental to T for a long time, if ever. I didn’t realize how much it can mess with your head even at a relatively low dose.

Full protocol is T only, increasing soon from 238 to 308 mg/week, injected EOD. Nothing else but vitamins.

Do u have before and after labs while on test only and while on test + Var? I’d love to see them if u do.

So no need for an ai while running 238mg/ week? And do u think u’ll be fine without an ai on 308mg/ week?

What’s ur reasoning for upping ur dose? Purely to put on more mass, or is there any specific subjective improvements ur looking for with the higher dose? Such as improved mood, more energy, better libido, etc.

Jc, did anyone that used anavar notice any hair thinning while on it?

Some shedding

Did ur hair return to normal once u discontinued the Var? Or are u still taking it?

I didn’t notice any changes. Hair loss due to PEDs is highly genetic.

Pre-var: TT 2435 FT 26 SHBG 73 E 53
After var: TT 1291 FT 61 SHBG 28 E 54

If you’re interested in anything else, all my TRT labs are posted in this thread.

I don’t believe in AIs. I probably won’t take one ever again.

All of the above – increased LBM, better mood, more libido, energy, etc.

Yeah it stopped when I got off the Var

Were u on the same dose of test pre Var and while using Var? I’ve heard of free T going up, SHBG going down, and total T going down as well, even on the same dose of test, but ur total literally got cut in half, that’s a huge difference

Yep, same dose of T
