Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

Training is going to be tough over the next month…I have SIX trips, all over the country. Definitely the most I’ve ever had.

With all that bouncing around and time spent on airplanes, I won’t be progressing, but I’m going to stay on top of diet and do my best to maintain fitness. I’ll visit gyms on the road and get guest passes. I need my brain to be functioning optimally for this busy season of work, and that means maintaining an active movement/lifting regimen!

Have you had Dr. Coach Greg Doucette’s laser beam vision evaluate you though?

LOL, no, but then he says he deletes all of those “What body fat percentage am I?” emails that he gets.

Life goal. I’m sure he’ll tell me I’m at a solid 30, lmao.

LOL, I’m probably right there with you even after losing 30ish pounds.

Dr. Greg after sizing up my 6’2", 180-pound physique: “YOU ARE MORBIDLY OBESE!!!”

WHAT? Even the stupid BMI index says you aren’t considered overweight until over 195 at that height.

Lol, I’m just messing around. Have you seen Greg’s videos? He’s insane. And hilarious.

Ahhh… lol my bad I thought you were talking about an actual doc. Didnt realize you walking talking about Greg Doucette again.

Yup Im a moron

It’s been a crazy couple weeks of work and travel. I’ve kept training as often as possible (usually 4X per week at gyms on the road) and have done my best nutrition-wise, but haven’t been logging meticulously. Looking forward to getting some stability back in the routine!

One thing I’ve realized over time is that you’re always going to have these seasons…things in life are going to go haywire from time to time. The key is just to do what you can during these stretches – don’t expect perfection, but consistency – and then make your big improvements/gains when things are calmer. The year will inevitably have peaks and valleys.

I had my follow-up with the hematologist today – she said there’s absolutely nothing to be concerned about. She said all my labwork is “dramatically normal” and some healthy people just naturally run low with WBC.

They also took my BP and pulse and said everything was excellent – my body is about as healthy as one could be. They were asking questions about lifestyle, like trying to pick my brain for how they could be healthier. It was cool. So, only a year into TRT, but so far everything is looking awesome as far as long-term health is concerned!

That’s great news!

Thanks, man! The PA was like “sooo, you planning to do this TRT thing for life?”

I was like “hell yeah.” Gave her a little education on the cardioprotective and neuroprotective effects. She was genuinely interested and receptive.

You may have saved some other poor soul with low T down the road whom she may not have considered TRT for. Good stuff

One thing she noted that’s worthwhile is that she had just seen a patient who developed blood-clotting from his TRT. So I’ll definitely keep an eye on CBC items. Poor bastard told her he had no idea you could develop blood-related problems from exogenous testosterone

I wonder what the markers were on his blood test?

Yeah, not sure about that. My HGB was 17.5 on this last one and HCT 50.6 but she said that’s nothing to be concerned about

I’m curious about the relationship between testosterone and income. Anyone have anecdotes to share?

I’ve never made more than $80K, but after crushing two interviews, the companies are now in a bidding war over six figures. I know without a doubt I wouldn’t have performed nearly as well before starting HOT. Just went in there knowing my value and communicating it clearly.

$110K here. Interviewing for a few spots that would get me to around $130K-150K depending on bonuses
