Everyone was really excited, then they stopped and the front judge said something. I checked the scorecard and it was red. But, there were a few calls, both pass and not-pass, that caught my eye. It’s easier to be there, than on a stream without all the chat jackassery, and know what commands were missed, depth not hit, etc.

All in all, it was pretty friggin cool. Makes one feel somewhat insignificant.
Some of the best damn lifters around, was lucky enough to watch about 5 hours of it today. Haha, best we compare ourselves against ourselves rather than these people.

Yeah I’ll say it is tough to be a good internet judge over a stream with chatters.
I prefer to feel insignificant. Those deadlifts were just impressive. I’ve never seen so many 650+ pulls in one meet. But, this was a little bit of a big deal.

Just got home from Tampa. What a show! Start making plan to attend for next year, this thing just keeps getting bigger and better. If you’re at all interested in powerlifting this is THE must see event. You won’t be disappointed.

It was AWESOME to be there and compete with women (and men!) at such an advanced level. Educational, for sure. The big boys were so cool to watch, I was just as exhausted screaming for them as I was after competing myself!

If anybody wants to learn more about DIABETES & Powerlifting, here’s my recap of the days event…pass along to any diabetic friends or athletes you have. It’s a constant balancing act:

That really cool that you guys were able to watch.

My final dead, 738 I think it was, it got 2 reds by the side judges because they wanted my shoulders back more. The front judge gave me a white. The truth is that it was coming out of my left hand very slowly so I pretty much had to stop pulling. I was pretty much locked out though. I had a lot of people say to me that I should have been given the lift.

I ended up with 1813 at 210. Good enough for 1st of the 220s but only 3rd overall. It was very close between myself and Dave Haggett at the end for the 3rd place.

x2 AND you can just continue your currently as everything you do will be going towards RUM 4. They showed an interview with you, but the volume was all jacked. Inspirational performance, man.

Thanks guys

For now im just thinking 1900 total for next year. Im undecided on doing anything between now and then.

I ended up doing 2 interviews over the weekend. One on friday and then another after the meet. The first one I was nervous and I didnt know what to expect. I felt much better on the second one, the meet was over so I didn’t really care. I think I said something about how I didn’t agree with the deadlift call.
