-Short ankle lock (tren lock?), start in SLX then inside leg goes to outside ashi almost, but down below their knee. Worked the ankle lock from there. Also worked counters. Coach reckons it’s just a fad move/gimmick, and there’s better options given your opponent will be fighting against it before you get to it.
-good rolls with N (dominated into mount, CG, almost had RNC before timer went), then tough but good with J where I copped a few taps from him.

-Wrestling week, so today was countering the underhook. Clamping down on that arm with your elbow, grab their armpit. Then other arm around the neck, turn body so your able to flip them over with a hip bump, or just drive front knee to ground, bringing them down with you, finishing in sort of SC with a headlock.
-Just J and I today so we worked that plenty then 3x rounds of SC/Mount escape as he’s keen to work on his defence, which is good as I’m happy to work some offense! Finished with some triangle tips too.

21.11.2025 (6am morning session)
-I requested octopus sweeps @dchris inspired… from the Coach today. Coach didn’t like the idea of them from half guard given so many other better attacks from there (and we’re all no gi), but we worked it from SC, into a few sweep variants, including to tripod then frog walk around or underhooking the leg to lift and drop them over. Also worked a back take option. Struggled with the whole propping onto elbow, poor mind-muscle memory here, so more work needed to not crunch and kick legs, but just get elbow in and prop up.
-Just J and I today again, so we continued to work his SC/Mount defence so I got to work from ontop. Good fun rolls. Been looking to drive my head into space in his chest when opportunity arises. I think it helps!?
-rest day yest, lunch with an old work colleague instead of gymmage.
I love it! I was working that today as well. I tried it against a Renzo Black belt that is murderous. He stopped me every time. That’s the fun of it tho.
The only time I do it from half guard really, is when they beat the knee shield and I can frame their head away from me. I’ll come up on elbow, sit up fully, then put my arm against their knee roll forward a bit then pendulum back over my neck holding onto them tightly. We end up in same position with me on top or me in SC.

-more darc following request from C.
-worked that then a few good rolls. 4x of us in class today and got to attack plenty. Short roll with M - my elbow scrape started bleeding (mat burn from last week), then J wanted to work SC/Mount escapes again, then a good round with C to round it out. Escape SC there then moved from SC to mount working angles. Took back but no sub, won on points easily though.
