Wow this thread could have ended A loong time ago. The guy asked what foods are good to sneak into a rave that would be worthwhile for energy and not feeling like shit ect. End of story nothing about drugs. Mmmkay.

Didn’t you just add to it with your extremely important post?

You’re right, if a teenager chooses to do ecstasy, it’s most likely because he read this thread. It probably doesn’t have anything to do with their upbringing, moral code, etc. That’s a great point!
Do you feel the same way about steriods? 'Cause we wouldn’t want any teenagers coming to this site and thinking “you know, even those T-Nation guys are doing steroids, and they’re all into lifting and eating right, so it can’t really be that bad for you.” Right?
It’s just like anything: ephedra, 'roids, beer, ecstacy, etc.
- Most of what people know/believe is misinformation.
- If you’re not harming anyone but yourself, who the F are you to tell people what they should and shouldn’t do?
This may not apply to you, but most everyone is responsible for making their own decisions.
I didn’t say the only reason someone would do drugs is because they read this thread, I was talking about influence.
And from what I’ve seen, most of the steroid users on this site will tear any 15 year old kid thinking of using a new one. I think if some teenager came and read through the steroid information on this site they would get the impression that steroids are for adults who have been lifting for a lot of years, and that any teenager who would even think of using them is a moron.
Everyone is personally responsible for his or her own actions and choices. I don’t think you will find anyone who believes that more than I do. If a kid takes drugs, it is his own choice and his own responsibility. Likewise, you are responsible for your own actions, including the act of being a negative influence on others.

I didn’t recommend that he use E, did I? In fact, I haven’t seen one post on this thread outright endorsing it. I offered a “damage control” suggestion, because often times, there’s more than just dancing going on a raves.

You simply made a totally over the top attack on someone who ventured the opinion that taking ecstasy doesn’t exactly fit in with the nature of this website.
I took umbridge with your remark in comparing drugs used simply to enhance your inebriation as opposed to the supplements supplied on this website that are for the purpose of enhancing one’s body composition or recovery abilities.
I didn’t judge your use of ecstacy, I merely objected to you comparing it to bodybuilding supplements.
Way to twist the argument!
A) I didn’t “attack” anyone
B) I’m not sure what I said that was “over the top” and
C) You asked: “You are honestly comparing protein powder to ecstacy”? I was simply clarifing an argument you apparently didn’t understand (see putting words in someone’s mouth).
However, if you would like to compare the two, yes they are both powders (sarcasm, people).

Quite frankly, if your teenager is that weak minded and easily influenced you did a piss poor job as a parent. It is highly unlikely that any teenager’s first exposure to drug culture is going to be the content of this thread. The phrase, “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!” comes to mind.
Maybe I would be “FUCKING KIDDING YOU” If I claimed this would be some kid?s first exposure to drug culture. But that is not what I FUCKING said. So maybe you should go back and read my FUCKING post.

Woah! You’re all hopped up on ecstacy, aren’t you? Don’t lie…I’d know that kind of typing anywhere.
All you impressionable teens out there reading this thread, please note: this is your brain on drugs.

Ha ha - close but not quite.
This is your brain when you are pregnant, a week past your due date, haven’t slept in days, and suffering for the last month in intense pain. I was having a hormonal outburst. I apologize for the language though, very unladylike.

I didn’t say you say YOU claimed it FUCKING would be. Hopefully you will be teaching your child better reading and comprehension than you currently possess. But here, I’ll break it down a little for you since you seem to be having some trouble with it yourself.
It is extremely unlikely that a teenager is going to make a decision whether or not to do drugs based on what they read in this thread. It is extremely unlikely that there is a whole youthful demographic out there just sitting on the fence trying to decide whether or not to do drugs, and by golly this thread is going to be what pushes them right over the FUCKING edge.
Or better yet, lets address what you do claim. As you put it, “you know, even those T-Nation guys are doing ecstasy, and they’re all into lifting and eating right, so it can’t really be that bad for you” (those were your exact words, just so we don’t have any further confusion). Apparently t-men giving the implication that X will have no serious impact with regard to training protocol is of concern to most teenagers and will be a determining factor? Teenagers are really concerned with the effect on health and training when it comes to making smart decisions about doing drugs.
As a sidenote, Canadian teenagers sure do talk different…

I’m sure some of you couldn’t care less who you influence so this wont matter to you, but I just wonder how many teenaged kids are going to read this thread and think “you know, even those T-Nation guys are doing ecstasy, and they’re all into lifting and eating right, so it can’t really be that bad for you.”
same can be said for the threads and articals about steriods. thizz or E is not GOOD for you , but it aint that bad as the media makes it out to be. same can be said for steriods.remeber E used to be used for theraputic reasons.
Reel it in.
I don’t normally respond to this stuff, but this is going way overboard. People are entitled to their opinions, as the drug ecstasy was mentioned. No need to personally attack others, exaggerate, use profanity and belittle people for their simple opinions. This isn’t an attack on anyone personally, and it’s stupid to personally lash out at others, including this website, we’re all grown-ups here. Tubesteak boogie! That’s all the attention I’m going to give this issue.

Yes, a health and fitness site that sells drugs, err, supplements that have “drug-like effects” and devotes a large section to anabolic steroids.
Spare us the holier-than-thou horseshit. Why bother reading and posting worthless comments to a thread you apparently aren’t interested in?
The sad part is, 49 posts later, all I have are nuts, jerky, and dry fruit.
Oh, sorry…
What about Grow! bars or similar protien/carb bar? That’d fit in your pocket…

Tsssj. What a fuzz here…
Everybody has the right to have fun haven’t they? Not talking about the drugs, but just the raving that is.
I surf during the summer and spend hours at sea in a very catabolic state when the waves are good. Is it that different from dancing all night? (I do that too, no drugs, just eph) F_U_N, ya know. No need to live by the 2-hours-between-meals all the time, it won’t do much harm to skip a meal every now and then.
On topic:
Our power food is usually a banana, a Red Bull and a casseine protein shake with maltodextrine(!). Keeps you running for hours!

I don’t really have enough time to do an order of Grow! bars in time for this Saturday. I’m thinking I can bum some Surge off a friend though, or make my own (crappy tasting) version with BCAA powder and dextrose. Would Surge! work well? Some posts say yes, some say not really. I’m confused.
Surge definitely wouldn’t hurt, but I would recommend drinking it after the Rave, when your body will need a rapidly digesting protein/hi-glyc. carb blend. Before the Rave, drink a slow-digesting protein, (i.e. a caseinate blend like Grow!) for sustained, slower protien digestion. Try mixing your pre-Rave shake with Grow!, nuts/peanut butter, cottage cheese, and flax seeds or oil for a very-slow digesting drink (slow proteins, fiber, and healthy fats).
Also, if you can afford it, I highly (no pun intended) recommend Dr. Berardi’s e-book “Gourmet Nutrition”, which you could download immediately from his website. In it, he has several awesome recipes for easy-to-make, super-tasty protein bars. They take about 20-30 min. to make. This would alleviate the problem of waiting for the Grow! bars to arrive.
Great ideas!
How about leaving a cooler of shake in your car, or some kind of protein snack. I was thinking a Grow shake and some hommemade peanut butter-grow balls. And lots of water…

Okay, other than possibly price, who cares what you eat?
It’s a rare event and you’ll be doing aerobics the whole damned evening anyway. Eat and drink whatever the hell you want.
Pizza won’t kill you.
