by the rating system comment i mean inflated. case in point Makaveli giving you a 7. that kid Powerbarboy has an 8 and a bunch of other dudes who compete recieved 7’s. personally, i rate people a lot easier than most folks on here though who seem to compare everyone against Ronnie Coleman or Arnold. i wasnt saying you look bad or anything, i was just making an observation on the rating system.
Coleman would be an 8. That GH gut doesn’t help him.

This is a bodybuilding website, no? I rate against bodybuilding standards, much like most people here.

1 = Troll, or acting like a cunt.
2 = Why did you bother?
3 = You messed up somewhere.
3.5-4.5 = You messed up, but we’ll help!
5 = Average, here’s some advice.
6 = Some muscle, good job, here’s some limited advice.
7 = Good muscle, well defined, you know what to do next.
8 = Needs some tweaking for contest shape, but impressive!
8.5-9 = Contest worthy, and damn good job!
9+ = You shoud be pro!! We bow before your physique (no homo).

that chart is fine and all for the most part but the way it usually works is say someone is a 6 on your chart theyd get a 4 or high 3. i think part of the reason is everyone has these retardly high internet standards. you see people in the Powerful Image photo then ya come here and suddenly regular guys without endorsements and such dont look so tip-top anymore.

yea its a BBing site but theres like 5 bodybuilders on here and i think Kiyoshi Moody only has like an 8, of course im sure that has a lot to do with people being douchebags and dishing 1’s at random.

I’d say it’s the douche factor. For some ungodly reason, they take things other than physique into consideration.

I mean seriously, who cares if user xx used AAS? Who cares if user zz lifts different to what the strength coach aa said?

I think a lot of people lose sight of that.

Just as an aside, if I were you I’d leave vascularity out of the picture for BF% guesstimating. It really is something that is wildly different from one person to the next.

And FWIW, Kiyoshi Moody deserved at least a 9.

I give you a solid 7.

You would have got a 10 if you were really Japanese. An 11 if you were a ninja.

Nah, but seriously, nice work man, keep it up!
LOL…I don’t think the last remaining Ninjitsu dojo in Japan would accept me. A 6’4", large caucasian guy might not be able to blend into his surroundings very well.

Thanks for the continued comments.

If, on this rating scale, a “10” represents the perfect physique, I would indeed agree that I’m not 56% of the way there (a 5.6).

I think a lot of the top physiques that are posted on this forum have their scores unfairly pulled down, probably by jealous guys who posted a solo pic of their left flexor pollicis brevis, got a 1.1 and decided to wreak petty havoc on those who scored high.

“I’ll show you, Kiyoshi Moody! I’ll show everyone! and…I’ll just position my mouse over the ‘1’…and…CLICK!! BOO-YAH!! Now, back to my snickers bar”

I don’t know, no one would expect you to be a ninja, so it might balance out. Nice work so far, good luck with the leaning out process.

I didn’t.

My original title was simply “Please rate my Physique” and the first line of my post was “Umm…rate my physique”, followed by the pictures. There was an accidental double post and the moderators renamed the thread title “Umm…”

I guess there’s no way to change it?

I think you can edit your first post. Not sure though.

Here’s some updated ones

Solid physique. Keep up the good work…

I tried to take these under the same lighting conditions as the first set, at the same time of day, and in fact wearing the same boxer briefs. How’s that for consistency?

I’m currently at about 226 pounds. I’ve been slowly reducing the kcals of my diet. The fat IS coming off…perhaps slower than I’d have liked…but what I’m most happy about is that I’ve maintained virtually all of my strength. In fact, my bench press has noticeably improved (?!).

I seem to be leaning out from the top down.
My face is completely different. All of my facial bones have become a lot more prominent. My shoulders, chest and arms are significantly leaner, as is my upper back. For the life of me I cant take a good upper back shot…it looks a lot better than it does in the above photo. All the other shots are fairly accurate representations.

Anyway, the abs are very slow to lean out, but my quads are exactly the same as when I started. I guess they’re the last to go.

I’ve been on Christian Thibaudeau’s “destroying fat” program. It’s been relatively successful but I’d like to try something new. Anyone have any advice?

I’d like to finish out my “leaning” by early september. Slowly but surely.

Good work, the only criticism I can even think of might be a little more mid and lower-back thickness. But honestly that’s just something for you to consider on your own, as the pictures might not have done you justice! Once again, great job!

I gave you an 8 because compared to the “average joe” your in great shape. Great work! Your abs will most likely be the last place you will loose BF. Its always hard to get leaner once your at the point your at IMO.
