Rare Condition Gives Toddler Super Strength

Guys, I’m disappointed by you. I thought I’d come in this morning, fire up T-Nation and find you’ve posted all kinds of pictures and videos of this child’s amazing feats. I was expecting to see pictures of him doing headstands up against a wall or a video of him chasing a dog in the backyard. Maybe a fantastic leap off the back of a couch. What do I get? Nothing. Shame on you.
He was rejected from the Xavier Institute For Gifted Youth. Apparently, his “x gene” is recessive only. His spot was given to that Octopus girl in India.

C’est la vie

Clearly April Fools joke. Why didn’t news about this kid come out before? Why not on other news media (only fox). Last name Hoekstra “Hoexter” Yes I know Hoekstra is a real name but the story comes out April 1st only on fox his last name and the fact that even though they mention his super abs they only show a picture of him with a shirt on, and online the video of him shows that he has no abs definition and is skinny, which is impossible with this condition. I called it first, April Fool’s Joke.
Actually this has been around for years…I looked it up months ago when I first heard about the myostatin gene anomaly…

I’m hoping this guy is joking.

The article was posted May 30th, not April 1st.

Plus, it’s not funny. At all.

you cartoons are missing the point here.

Read the article again, it says:

“bodybuilders and other athletes…”

THE MEDIA FINALLY RECOGNIZES US AS ATHLETES !!!

Hallelujah.

Oh happy day.

I feel so…nope, just gas.

“Thirteen guys out of the top twenty bodybuilders at the Olympia don’t have the myostatin gene that limits muscle growth. They could whack off and Grow!” Per Poliquin.

https://www.T-Nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/questions_of_strength_december

Is that a true statement and how was it verified?

Its a statement by poliquin. There’s your answer right there.

Lol, but you seriously don;t see this article as a step in the right direction for us?

All said and done, this is an article that portrays carrying significantly more muscle mass than an average untrained individual in a positive light (relating it to endorsements,a bright future, happy parents, attention) … its all a strong throwback to the days when being muscular was in vogue.

The reason arnold did so much for BBing and being muscular was that he translated it into financial and professional success, while at the same time linking “being muscularly big” with being “attractive and/or appealing to the opposite sex” (all at a time when people were hopelessly out of shape, weak and uninterested in physique development). The best way to bring muscle back into “fashion” is to find the next one who can help people make make that “direct link”. And the article is generally biased towards showing “muscular and strong” individuals in a very positive social light.

Lucky little bastard.

He’ll probably grow up thinking he’s a freak and may even avoid the weight room.

I had a college roommate who, if I could guess was one born with this “problem” may have been, gained muscle so easily that he walked around at a ripped (not lean…RIPPED) 235lbs at 6 feet and only visited the weight room occasionally (I saw him there twice). The rest of the time he spent eating, sleeping (damn he did a lot of this) and screwing. He tried to cover himself up like it was a disorder and never even tried to gain any more than he had.

Someone like that could have been a pro bodybuilder within a year but avoided it completely.
His choice though. I mean, I would personally never want to look like you (no offense).

That’s rich, coming from a green guy with a tail

Seriously though, I can only hope that this kid is brought up right.

First thing I thought when I read this was one of the main characters from Watchmen, the one who say’s he’s so fast he can catch a bullet (can’t remember his name). Weren’t they suppose to be superhero’s but without powers?
