Random thoughts

I just got back from the gym and im pissed. i failed on my personal-record deadlift attempt @ 400. i got it moving, but couldnt finish it off. grrrrrrrrr. and then i walk into the next room and i see the most hilarious thing in the world: there was this thin guy doing box squats with 135…but he wasnt even squatting to the box!!! he would come up two inches short EVERY TIME!! what the hell is that!!!

Anyway, for those of you on a low carb diet, i should recommend "The Low-Carb Cookbook" by Fran McCullough. it isnt geared at weightlifters (and the author's pic on the inside cover doesnt really resemble a diet book author). nevertheless, it has some amazing recipes, especially desert (ie, cheesecake with only 4g of carbs per serving). also, the cooking directions are very easy to follow, which is perfect for a guy like myself who wouldnt know the difference between a spatula and asparagus. anybody else have any low-carb recipe recommendations?? peace
