i recently ran out of sSrge and unfortunately for me have become hooked on the shit since buying it. im ordering more but i was wondering if anyone knows any alternatives for something to take post workout that might at least have somewhat of the same effect(im assuming there isnt anything to do the exact same thing. i have plenty of Metabolic Drive if that helps anything, not sure…

3-4 glasses of skim milk ;). It has casein protein, but is very insulingenic.
chocolate milk with whey protein.
its what I use when im broke
- Grow! Whey and pineapple juice
- Grow! Whey, dextrose and water
- Grow! Whey with water and grapes(or any fruit which have very little fibre.
- Grow! Whey with water and a gatorade
etc.
It’s fairly simple, just some whey and simple carbs.
if I’m out of Surge I use a cheap standby: any decent whey powder (you don’t really want the slower absorption curve of a casein powder) and powdered gatorade. Just mix and match to fulfill your macro-nutrient needs. While not as good as Surge it’ll work in a pinch (I used it for months until I gained the ability to purchase things off of the Nation).

Awsome avatar. x2 on the skim milk, chocolate milk if you need even more carbs. If you’re going to have fruit, a banana works because the glucose to fructose ratio is higher than alot of other fruits (more glucose in bananas)
