Racial Sensitivity Gone Too Far

Why does no one hear what you say?

Because they and you don’t care and don’t ask. You ASSUME.

You want to be this big, independent person, but you have black people in power speaking over you. Speaking for you. Pushing the debate the way THEY want it to go.

What debate? Who is speaking for me and for what? On what specific issue have I gone to someone and asked them to speak for me?

I brought up black leadership in that context to tell you that that is what I hear. You don’t want to be pigeon holed by what they say and do? Fine. But it exists. But it is not the white man thinking for you. It is your own color fucking you over words like devil’s ffod cake, and black hole.

No one has forced you to believe that anyone else speaks for me. You CHOSE to believe this. You need to be asking why you made that choice, not why I’m not running around worrying about who says what.

I don’t even pay attention to many of these issues so how is anyone getting credit for speaking for me or anyone else specifically?

You are the one who made the decision to tune into prime time tv and accept whatever was being peddled to you. Blacks can even tell you they have no clue what you are talking about, and you will still act as if my words are coming from someone else’s mouth.

I can’t hear you

You aren’t listening. How many more times does that need to be written before you stop going to other people to hear what I think?

If you want to discuss specific issues, then do so. What the fuck does Sharpton have to do with ME?

You two need to hug

Okay.

What more would you like me to do to further the progress of black equality?

What responsibility do you think you have to further the above mentioned progress?
For one you start by fucking listening. You stop trying to change the subject and discuss American Indians any time someone mentions racism against blacks in this country. You stop acting like someone is blaming you personally every time this topic is raised so that you and others stop acting so gawddamned defensive any time someone even suggests that blacks STILL experience racism to a degree that still needs to publicly change.

All of this has yet to even be accomplished in this thread, so there is no doubt that it can not be accomplished across the fucking country.

If you want to know what black people think, you stop listening to the talking heads on Fox news and actually have a discussion with a number of black people.

Why the fuck do any of you follow what Sharpton has to say to this degree? I couldn’t tell you even one issue the man has spoken out against in over a year at least, maybe more.

You sure do come across as gullible on that one.

Replying to OP’s topic before derailment:

Utter faggotry.

WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE BLACK PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT USING THE N WORD?I don’t use it, haven’t seen X use it, My parents don’t use it, none of their friends use it. The people I associate with don’t use it. Damn near every black person at my college hated to hear it, yet white people continuously point to low lifes and say “look their using it, we can too”. I don’t run around reciting all the dumb shit trailer park trash say, because “hey, white people say it so I can say it too.”. And don’t say black people don’t speak up about it.

Black supposed “Leaders” have been speaking up about it, since NWA days. Even non leaders, such as Deloras Tucker who was just an average working grandmother made it her life struggle to stop it, so again I ask what do YOU think black people are supposed to do?
I think they should exactly what they are doing, educated black people stand up and say that no one should use that word. I haven’t said that black people are supposed to do any more than that. The only reason I said anything at all about black people using the word nigger is that, in response to my first post, some guy said “well no one should use it.” To me, that sounds like a spoiled white boy saying “it’s not fair, if I can’t use that word they can’t either.”

My position is, white people absolutely should not use that word, and black people probably shouldn’t either, but that is for them to work out. I’m a white man, a southern one at that, and I don’t feel it’s my job to tell black people as a whole what they should and shouldn’t say. Understand? Please tell me if there is something in this you object to.

You said the white race controlled the media, which implies that all white people are in on it. Does the black race controll BET? Do yall have meetings every month to decide which shows you’re going to put on and which ones get cancelled? Of course not. Sure, most media is owned and run by white people, but not the white race. See the difference?

Here is why I say you are getting up on a soap box:

1- You are trying to pick an argument with me. What have I said that you object to? It looks to me like we probably agree on everything, yet you want to debate with somebody and you latched on to me.

2- In the course of this conversation you keep expanding the subject to cover all of the injustices faced by blacks in this country: the media, police brutality, and throwing them at me as if they are something that I have denied or don’t understand. We weren’t talking about any of that. We were talking about language. If you can’t stay on subject and are going to try use random shit to bolster your position, I’m going to accuse you of getting on a soap box, because that’s what you’re doing.

Did I say Professor X is a nut job? No. Have that conversation with whoever said he was.

When you quote my words, I take it you are speaking directly to me, and when you speak directly to me, you need to stay on subject, talk to me about what I said, complain to me about things that I do, or may have some control over. I don’t own the media and I’m not a cop.

It’s so bad in the UK, the term blackboard is racist. Oh and you can’t design a brainstorm, its offensive to epileptics, it’s ‘mind map’.
there are so many i can’t even begin to list them all…

LOL, that’s news to me.

If someone moans to me about such examples being offensive they can go screw themselves.

I don’t remember my original post objecting to anything. I remember specifically asking you to explain how black people are to work it out. Then rewording it in a second post to what YOU think Black people who don’t like the word should do. If i’m correct these are questions, not objections, and when questions are answered sometimes new ideas and methods are generated. You could have simply stated you don’t want to answer the question there would have been no picking of arguments.

I have no care about the injustices done in this particular conversation, simply used them to show how a person can never speak up, or in my case even ask a question.

I don’t NEED to do anything.

Airtruth: Your question was, what are black people supposed to do about the N word, when the media, which is controlled by the white race, promotes the image of ignorant black people.

My answer was, I don’t control the media, so I can’t do anything about that. I don’t watch “And 1” and I don’t even know what that is, and I do not support the image of ignorant black people. Aside from that it’s not my place to tell black people what they should or shouldn’t do.

I’m pretty sure that the vast majority of people, white and black, are capable of thinking for themselves. Young people tend to imitate what they see on TV, and in Movies and Music, but they grow out of it. If you raise your children to not use that word, they probably won’t. That’s the only question I saw you ask and I already answered it a couple of posts back.

You repeated yourself and said I don’t get it, but I fail to see what I didn’t get.

I never said you or anyone else could never speak up. If we’re having a conversation and you start rambling and lecturing me about stuff I already know, I’m going to say you got up on your soap box. Maybe you didn’t mean to sound lecturing, but that’s the way your words came across.

Well, you do need to stay on topic if we’re going to have an intelligent conversation.

I am not defensive about a fucking thing. I have nothing to be defensive about.

I didn’t fucking ask what black people think. I asked what the fuck you think.

Pointing the fucking finger, and burying your damned head in the sand is pretty much a recipe for no progress. Like it or not - the Sharptons and the Jacksons are who get heard. I don’t think it is my job to conduct door to door interviews to find out what blacks really want. You sure as fuck don’t ask me what I want.

I didn’t try to discuss the fucking Indians. They are an example of a people similar to the blacks - only you weren’t fucking exterminated like a rodent. Your situation was compared to the Indians - nothing more.

You want to cry and bemoan your plight, and the white guy has to listen to everyone who is crying and bitching. Try being blamed for every fucking thing that is wrong with this planet, and just see if you don’t get sick of hearing the fucking whining.

You are not unique. You are just like the poor downtrodden Mexicans, Indians, Lesbians, Gays, Handicapped, etc.

You can’t start bitching about your problems, and not get compared to every other fucking minority group whining just as incessantly. Sorry - it’s just not going to happen.

I did notice however, that you are only interested in telling people what you want from them. You offered dick in way of what you think you need to bring to the table, nor do you seem to interested in what anyone else thinks.

Jackson and Sharpton have had at least some very positive effect in the black community, but to quote Chris Rock, “since MLK and Malcolm X…all we’ve had is a bunch of substitute teachers”, so quit trying to act like my words or the words of even most black people are coming out of THEIR mouths.

Whining?

My guess is, if the tables were turned, there would be a hell of a lot more noise…and a lot more change.

You get your panties in a wad for me mentioning Indians, and you decide to throw in Chris Rock?

WHAT THE FUCK?

How much more change do you want? You really think a bunch of pissed off white guys are going to be able to force an entire population of blacks to listen?

The tables are turning. The white guy will be a minority in just a few years. If you want racial equality - you’d better start boning up on the espanol.

SI SE PUEDE!

I LOVE the fact that no black people have to worry about you saying this to them without acting like it was a joke.
