It’s a goddamn word. How deprived are you because you can’t use one word? Find something else to cry about.
My ancestors didn’t own any slaves and I have never descriminated against anyone based on the color of their skin. But this country has a fucked up history, so out of respect for what some people have gone through, and what that word represents, don’t use it.
If anybody but a very close friend of mine called me a “white boy” or a “cracker” we’d have a problem. It’s not the word but the personal disrespect it implies. But do not pretend that “whitey,” “white boy,” and “cracker” are even in the same league as “nigger.”
Maybe you grew up very sheltered or very ignorant, but whites have never faced the kind of persecution that blacks have in this country. History matters, only a fool thinks otherwise.

Well mate I am not from the USA, I’m from Australia. Here they are in the same league. In fact nobody really cares if you use any of those terms except crazy Americans who come to visit.
And we have plenty of South Africans who have been treated terribly by blacks living here so if anything “whitey”, “white boy” and “cracker” are more offensive.

You guys use cracker in the context of, “Wow, that woman is a cracker!” - as in sexy. I remember a while back on here a few US guys were offended by an Aus guy calling a woman a cracker.
That, and when I was in Brisbane for a month a while ago the only black people I saw were at the airport.
