Racial Sensitivity Gone Too Far

Also to anybody that really thinks terms like the Dark Side or any other terms that resembles Dark and Black has to do with black people. Our eyes see the reflection of light so in absolute Darkness you can’t see.

You can’t see what evil lurks. People are uncomfortable in the dark. Thats why these terms are used. Dark just so happens to look black. So people also use the word Black because it looks Dark like “Black Hole”. It has nothing to do with black people.

Matter of fact if you want to get down to it black people aren’t black just various colors of brown. Matter of fact white people are even a lighter brown. The only people that aren’t brown are albino people due to the fact there skin can’t produce the pigment melanin. I can’t believe I actually had to explain all this.
You didn’t, I’m pretty sure that’s common sense.

I do think some terms may have been created with black people in mind, but things like black-hole is not one of them.

I would start laughing if I actually thought you were serious. I doubt there are many Americans you could find who honestly give a shit about what John Wiley Price has to say…about much of anything…whether they be black or white.

Now find one white person who thinks that blacks have never suffered.
There seem to be many who believe that society is now equal and thusly every social stigma about using certain words should now be abolished. In time, they no doubt will be, but considering we live in a country that basically just considered blacks as equal right before and during the 1970’s, why do people believe 30 years is what it takes to heal something deeply inflicted?

What does nearly being extinct have to do with the plight of black America?
By showing that the ones who truly and clearly had it worst barely made it out alive to this day. At least we survived en mass.

I could honestly care less about what started this thread. I made the very clear as day point that I wanted a real discussion and not to simply talk about devil’s food cake over a page ago.

hahha, yeah I thought is was common sense too, yet it seems there was people starting to get offended

hmmm, it seems as if you are the one going off on everybody. Plus your saying that it is not equal yet but also your own people(and don’t say what do you mean by “own people”, i’m just explaining who I am talking about) keep putting black people down. Like activist Jesse Jackson who makes black people feel they can’t get ahead in life due to the government. When a well respected man like that says things like this, people will tend to believe him and will feel its useless to try.

My wife knows a black lady who told her that her mom told her to just marry up. In other words don’t try to succeed in life, just marry a rich man. Her mom didn’t think she could do it because of what activists keeps ranting. Yet she graduated college to become a teacher.

I think behind the scenes there is racism on all sides.

He’s an elected official in the DFW area, so evidently, there are enough give-a-shitters to get the dumbass elected.

He’s the guy who started this newest round of crap.

You didn’t do what I asked. You said there were people who think that blacks never suffered. Now you say that there are those that don’t think blacks are suffering currently. That’s a whole different colored horse.

You say your that if your grandmother was still alive, she would view your life as something she dreamed about.

That right there should be a signal to you that shit is getting much, much better. I would say that if it has come down to bitching about the use of words - there is really a lot less to bitch about now, than 40 years ago.

This will be the 40th anniversary of Smith and Carlos raising their fists on the podium. You are not living in the same America they did. No one is.

I think real discussion would be peachy-keen. Trouble is, whites are so fucking afraid they may be offensive, and blacks are so on the ready to be offended that I don’t think there can be meaningful discussion on any real scale until both sides cut the bullshit.

And before you go off making me find more people - I should qualify my previous statements with “It SEEMS that most” Just drop that qualifier in right before each color.

That doesn’t mean that even HE actually thinks that black americans are the ONLY race in the world to experience racism.

Why is it so many people like you rush in to tell us that there are other races that have experienced racism any time a similar topic comes up?

What does the fact that Native Americans were nearly wiped out have to do with what blacks have experienced in this country?

Is this some form of defense mechanism?

“We had it rough and there is still racism.”
“Well, other people had it rough.”
“OK, and that changes what I said, how?”
You didn’t do what I asked.
No need. You haven’t shown that John Wiley Price actually believes that ONLY blacks have experienced any sort of racism. You first, homeboy.

Uh, NO, I did not write that. Please go back and quote word for word what was actually written. You should know better than that by now. Like I typed something without anticipating the response?

Well, thanks for proving that here as well.

So a guy uses a diversionary tactic to draw attention away from the proposition that his department is a quagmire of ineptness.

What else is new? He should be fired for lack of creativity.

As any race strives to achieve their come-uppance in society, they need to be wary of death from within. White people have given oppression of african americans a shot, and are slowly but steadily failing.

There is never a lack of people who think that the only way to get theirs is to take someone elses.
As political power and soci-economic growth continues, those are going to be the ones to look out for.

Are you serious? You want me to know what some nut job thinks? Probably not going to happen. But I have been around for a while, and have NEVER seen or heard JWP do or say anything that wasn’t directly tied to being black.

Why do I compare blacks to other races? Because there are other races to compare them to.

I have nothing to defend. To think like that would be to assume I have done something wrong, and unless breathing, eating, training, and shitting are now federal crimes - I haven’t done shit.

But I’d really like to know what “people like you” means.

You asked for a name. I gave you one. Now I have to jump through another hoop. If you don’t know JWP’s track record, you should google it - I’m not going to do the work for you.

Now - which is it? Am I a “people like you”, or am I a “homeboy”? I’m pretty sure they don’t run in the same circle.

People who act as if discussion of racism against blacks means that someone is faulting you personally so you mention some other race to defend the fact that you do actually feel some level of responsibility (whether warranted or not) or else there would be little need to do such a thing.

Was that clear enough?

Wow, we can’t even get most to admit there is racism against blacks without trying to deflect the issue and bring up someone else. How about we go one step at a time?
Proving what? That I am afraid of offending you? Get real, poindexter. That you are afraid of being offended?
Proving that no real discussion can actually take place.

Black people do seem to get worked up sometimes over nothing. Once there was a fight in front of my store and one of the guys broke one of our windows. The cops came and one of my employees pointed at the black guy who did it and she said, “It was the black guy.” So a black man who had been watching the fight started yelling at her and calling her a racist, that she could have said “The man in the blue shirt.” He was really yelling at her, so one of the cops came over and asked him to leave.

Was she being racist? I don’t think so.

You asked for a name. I figured you were at least as in tune with black community leaders in Texas as I am. I guess I figured wrong - or you wouldn’t keep asking me to prove what the dipshit thinks. I’ll respond to the rest later. Hell Boy II waits for no one, and I gotta go now if I want to get there on time.

I have already stated that I don’t care to even discuss the original topic. This thread would be nothing but jokes about Devil’s food cake if we stayed on that alone…when there really is a topic beneath it that could bring out something more elevated than “what’s wrong with black hole?”.

Also, save your money on Hell Boy and go see Hancock. That means the black guy instead of the red guy.

Fuck me, they’re both sold out - at least that’s what the recording said. Look’s like I’m going with the white guy in “Get Smart”.

I don’t care about the topic of the thread, either.

Here’s my point: You want to talk about something deeper than “black hole”, and I agree - but the guy who caused the uproar doesn’t seem to want to. He’s happy nit-picking a bunch of old white guys. Sadly, this is what passes for race relations these days.

Is that all there is to bitch about on a national level? Language? I’ll tell you right now, if that’s all the black leadership has to go on - you and every other black person interested in furthering the discussion are in a shit pile of trouble.

There’s been 40 years - not 30 - of trying to right the ship. Progress has been made, and according to your grandmother, by leaps and bounds. Who has done the majority of the the changing? White guys who are my age, and a little older.

I can tell you with a fairly high degree of certainty that we feel as though we have had to take the blame for 300 years worth of shit we had nothing to do with. Now you have this numb-nutted motherfucker telling us what we can and can’t say. Frustrating doesn’t touch the tip of the iceberg of describing how that feels.

On that last comment, I seriously doubt that. Without being raised with as much degradation as our grandparents and great-grandparents, the average black person today would doubtfully go backwards and even accept that level of social slavery…even though there is still further to go.

As far as “black leaders”, there have been no true black leaders since Malcolm X and Rev. King. While I do have a certain level of respect for Jesse Jackson, he is not going to have his own holiday.

I have asked this before and I will ask it again…doesn’t the fact that you even think in terms of “black leadership” speak volumes?

Where are the “white leaders”?

yea!!! Another pissing match.
I see racism, nationalism, religionism(???) every day and I can promise this. There is no bigger click here than that of the brutha’s sticking together. Do they feel they have to? Who knows. Who cares.

The Bosnians come in a very close second.
I had one broad play the vagina victim card on me and I bounced her with her own email. Some words were on the little handout as unacceptable. Interesting case. I won.

Pissed some people off in the meantime, but I could not have been happier. My feeling is this. If you use any level of ism to make your decisions then you are a fucking idiot. Not admitting that racism is racism irrespective of what pigment level skin of the person that said it is also retarded. No offense to the retarded-Americans.

Wow, Price is trolling harder than Sharpton, how ANYONE can derive a racist connotation from “black hole” is beyond me.

You have all kinds of black leadership. What planet are you living on? NAACP, United Negro College Fund, Congressional Black Caucus, Rainbow/PUSH Coalition.

If using those types of terms speak volumes to you, I am afraid you have more voices in your head than than mine.

Good God. If someone were to set a “white leadership”, or a NAAWP, or a Congressional WHITE Caucus - there would be no end to the cries of racism coming from every direction. Nope - whitey’s not allowed to have leadership.
