i’ve been smoking for most of my adult life. It really helps me deal with stress, makes movies/music/food a million times better and the fact that every person i socialize with tokes. The problem is I find myself smoking more and more and my munchies are unrivaled.
Hmm, you mean the appetite is getting hard to control? I have found that too. Problem is it carries over into EVERY part of your life. I got a vap for the other reasons. But this alone to me is an issue…
not sure why but its generally the opposite for me, smoking curbs my hunger when im hungry. Also i feel like once you start eating high you just keep eating so you could try just not touching anything if you have an issue with size of eating. Or just get better mental control. Its just a fucking plant hahah

I’m not sure how much truth there is to it, but I heard that smoking raises estrogen levels. For that reason alone, you should limit how much you do it (this is assuming you’re on this site for the right reasons), if not quit altogether (and assuming it’s true, which I can’t confirm either way).
After saying that, I partake myself (a lot less than I used to) and most of my friends do, too. I understand first-hand how easy it is to get attached to it just as well as I understand how much fun it can make the simplest daily tasks and events.
My advice is to stay strong-willed and not let it start to take over certain (or all) areas of your life (like your diet, maybe?). I know plenty of people who do it and lead very successful lives in terms of careers, health, etc. and I also know plenty of people who justify doing it every chance they get and let it affect their lives and are continually in denial about it and think it’s not a problem. Don’t be like the second group I described and I think you’ll be fine.
So the take-home message? Always make sure your will is stronger than your weed. If it isn’t, then stop doing it until you can learn how to control yourself better. Know your limitations and don’t put yourself in a position to fail, put yourself in a position to succeed. If that means you have to let it go, then do what you have to for the sake of yourself. Can’t think of any better reason to do or not do something.
How about only keeping healthy food in the house? Or have some will power not to eat shit food while high.
I had to quit since im looking for a job, and honestly i havent had a good night sleep since. The debate between being able to pass a drug test to get a job, and being able to sleep/function during the day is growing stronger.
Guys, “will power” is not something that some people have and some don’t. You don’t just “increase” your will power. You have to specifically re-circuit your brain on the ways it deals with specific stressors.
Simply put (and you can get books upon books on the subject) you need to change your routine. Say, you always smoke when you get anxious about something, for example. Well, your go-to relief mechanism (for lack of a better phrase) is smoking. You have to switch that go-to relief mechanism. That is the key.
Again, grab a couple books, by a couple different authors on the subject to really understand; I must have read at least 10 to entirely wrap my head around the concept.
I think just slowly cutting down will help. I find I don’t get intense munchies unless i’m fairly high, so if I smoke under 3 - 4 joints my appetite will stay low and I won’t binge eat, but I still get the stress relief / increased joyment from it. I can understand though how if you have easy access to it cutting down can be damn near impossible. And as Dre once said “If at first you don’t succeed, won’t hurt to smoke some weed” lol
The Vap definitely eliminates a SHIT TONNE of toxins/carcinogens/irritants that are a result of combustion. They say 99.9% of it but who really knows. And don’t worry about the estrogen effects. You have no idea what mechanism it works through. And I promise you it solely will not cause significant changes.
I would get a my hands on a bag and do NOTHING ELSE until it was gone.
I would get high as a kite and leave a trail of retarded, embarrassing bullshit all across the net, wake up the next day and cringe at what I had written.

At 25, it just wasn’t cute anymore.

Shit man I’m doing that at 38 and I’ve never touched the stuff.
Like someone said, keep only healthy food in the house. When I used to get baked, I’d muck anything and everything. Now I eat a lot less when I smoke and I eat fruit, trail mix, yogurt. hits the sweet-tooth spot for me
You could do like me and smoke so much you enter an existential and infinite trance state wherein you’re able to communicate with the very elements around you.
Shaman style, ya digg?

Lol if you haven’t got the will power to control your smoking how would you have the will power to quit completely?
I quit a while back. The problem I had, although not the primary reason why I stopped, was that my munchies were always rice w/ meat or whatever was available.
I never had craving for chips cause they never got me full. I would have 4 or 5 cups of rice every time I had the munchies which felt absolutely horrible after.
And no, movies aren’t much better w/ weed for me. Me and my buddies got kicked out once cause we accidentally went to the “EAT, Pray, Love” theatre instead of the “Machete” one. Good times…

You quit weed because it made you clean bulk too hard? lol
Also I think I’d actually autosuggest if I paid for a movie expecting it to be Machete then found out it was Eat, Pray, Love instead.
People struggling with weed problems is so foreign to me. It makes me a lot more conscious of my body, I floss more, eat more veggies, play guitar better etc. Also, the best time to do math homework is high, helps you think about the problems differently.
Sucks that they piss test for jobs and I had to stop (which is total bullshit!), but it’s been easy; not very addictive imo.
I can’t imagine not having enough will power to do w/e on weed (quit, eat right, whatever). Maybe it just doesn’t affect me the same way?
As an aside, fuck alcohol. At least you’re not drinking too much.
