Quick Question: After Bulking

I am just going to make a guess here. You want to look like a Men’s health or fitness cover model? I remember reading an article in one of those magazines and the avg. cover model is between 5’10" to 6’ tall and weighing between 180-200. I would guess their bf is under 10%.

For you I would not wait until 175-180 to begin cutting. Maybe wait until you get around 210-220 and then begin to diet.
I don’t know what NROL programs you have used, but I would stick to the hypertrophy and strength programs for awhile.

well, all I can say is thanks. I am very dedicated. In a little over a year, I’ve lost 70 pounds and now and putting on muscle. I’ve been working out 6 days a week, never missing a workout, and always have my diet in check.

But anyways, yes, I guess you could say I would prefer to have a cover model body over a body builders body. I’m not saying I could even achieve a body builder’s body, Im just saying. Well I’ll think about what you guys have said. And take it from there.

Ultimately, I want a 6 pack for summer so maybe I’ll bulk through March and see what April brings.

Please don’t assume Im not as dedicated as you. Just because Im smaller doesnt mean I dont love fitness as much as you. I never said I wanted a 6 pack in 7 days. I know it all takes time and Im willing to put the time in.

But when it’s all said and done, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Thanks again.

Congratulations on losing 70lbs. The only negative is that if you weren’t lifting during that time period, you also lost lean body mass in large amount with it.

True. But it has been some time since then and I have been lifting hard and enjoying my new life in fitness. Listen, I do agree with everything you guys have said. Ultimately, I do want to have a bigger build but for some reason having a 6 pack this summer is important to me.

Would is really be horrible to try and get shredded with my weight when Im at 180 or so just to get that 6 pack? When the summer is over I’ll be able to do a long slow bulk and I think that is when it will be best for me to put on a lot of size.

Im not aainst what you are saying, I agree. I just think after this summer will be the perfect time to bulk because I’ll have so many months to do it. Right now, my goal is a lean summer body.

I’ve never had one before so I guess it’s partly a mental thing.
