Questions on Surge & Grow!

I just ordered my first bottle of Surge and Low-Carb Grow!. what I’m wondering is that when I stop taking this will I lose what I gained. for example. alot of my friends take creatine. and I do not like supplements of any kind. I told them that creatine will help them get bigger but when they stop taken it.they will lose what they have gained. exspecially if they stop lifting for a bit. so my friend stopped lifting for a bit and he lost all that he gained. just like I told him. the same thing happened to my brother. so if I stop taken this. will I eventualy lose what I gained. I shouldnt since its protein and not creatine. but any input will help.

You sound young so I am going to say it straight out. I think you really need to do some reading on the supplements you are taking or are advising other people on.

Your claims about creatine are not correct to start with. Before you start taking ANY supplement you should understand: #1 what it is and #2 how it works. If would read into these two questions on post workout drinks(Surge) and protein powders (Grow!) on this or any site I feel confident that your questions will be answered.

Surge and Grow are both food, and one container of each won’t translate into “gains” in terms of pounds or inches put on (unless you consume them in a few days, in which case the pounds and inches won’t be the ones you’re looking for).

A better way to put it is that they represent high-quality nutrition, and you will derive immediate benefits from their consumption in terms of overall health. If you stop consuming Surge and Grow, you won’t “lose” any “gains”; you will just stop taking in those particular nutrients.

If your friend stopped lifting and lost what he had gained, that’s his fault. The simple solution: don’t stop.

Good luck; follow the directions and you’ll learn to appreciate both suplements.

cool was just making sure. but with creatine. I met a few ppl that lose what they gain after they stop using it.

If you stop training, you can lose much, if not most, of your gains regardless of the supplement(s) used. You can’t blame this on the supplement – you just can’t expect to maintain your gains without training and eating correctly.

If you don’t eat as much protein, you will not maintain as much muscle mass. That is the simple version. Would you not eat good food on a quality diet because when you go back to junk food you eventually lose what you gained? Of course not.

Within a month after you stop supplementing with creatine, your muscle stores of creatine phosphate diminish to their natural levels. This will cause you to lose the increased explosiveness and endurance observed while using creatine on a daily basis.

The increased water volume of intracellular tissues caused by creatine supplementation will also decrease until it reaches normal levels, this will typically cause a bodyweight loss of up to 5-10 lbs.

You should be able to keep 50-80% of your absolute strength gains after coming off of creatine, based on additional supplementation, duration of creatine use, dietary habits, and exercise protocol. Eg, eat right and lift right and you should keep most of the gains except for bodyweight loss due to fluid retention. If your friends lose “all” their gains within a month of ceasing creatine supplementation, I would say their nutritional and/or exercise practices are suspect.
