CMON AMERICANS! Lets find the one responsible, HUSSEIN! (I mean liberals, who’s Bin Laden? Who cares anymore? [We don’t])

TENS OF THOUSANDS WILL DIE! POLITICAL INSTABILITY IN MOVIE THEATRE REGIONS WILL ENSUE FOR DECADES TO COME, DAMN YOU GORE FOR DELIBERATLEY
AND WHY!? OH GOD WHY!?

Gore won’t fool us;
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!!

Just kidding.

Excuse me while I jerk off to war and patriotism.

I know this because it is the truth.

There is not a single credible scientist that believes this will end humanity.

You are totally clueless.

I see.

And this “TRUTH”, was revealed to you how? You got struck from your horse and heard voices from the sky?
You went up a mountain and found it engraved in stone tablets?

And everybody that disagrees with you is clueless. And everybody that disagrees with you and has studied it more than you is not credible.

How convenient.

I keep forgetting you are a stupid troll. I don’t even know why I bother with you. Go back under your rock until next time.

Okay, you guys are willing to swallow cherry picking of inteligence for war, as if that isn’t an exaggeration or lie, but you won’t allow somebody to suggest the worst possible scenario with respect to global warming.

Retards.

The fact that Al admits he may have exaggerated is quite striking. Not because it makes him a liar. It actually let’s you know that he is fairly honest…

Try to separate the issues from one another. You don’t like the concept of global warming as a problem to humanity. You don’t like Al Gore. You don’t CO2 is a form of pollution, for some bizarre reason. You don’t like liberals.

Al Gore put together a movie based on his beliefs. The movie is not a loony viewpoint, but one that is shared by many, around the world, if not yourself. It is not specifically motivated by anti-business sentiment nor it is specifically a liberal viewpoint. It is a viewpoint that does not need to be equated with either of these things you fear.

Take it alone on it’s merits or flaws, without wrapping Al Gore and your childish views of republican vs liberal into your judgment, if you can.

These threads are like reading comic books. It’s pretty sad really.
No one will care until it’s too late. Global warming is happening, humans are affecting it, and we will pay for what’s going on. Hating on liberals is one thing- destroying the planet is another. Not in America, evidently…but it should be.

It’s just irrational to think that we don’t have anything to do with it, and that it’s not going to come back and bite us in our collective asses.

That’s not going to happen. We both know who the troll is Zap. Hell, everybody knows who the troll is.

What’s funny is that people like you make it hard to care. Should I be more worried about your claim of “destroying the planet”, the IPCC’s projection of .5-5 m rise in sea levels (which is a far cry from “destroying the planet”), or the actually measured rate of .4 mm(!) over the last 3 yrs.?

And equally irrational to think that we cause this “on accident” and any massive effort to “put things back” wouldn’t end in an equally large calamity. Is the ozone hole fixed yet? The HCFCs that are used in place of CFCs are much ‘better’ greenhouse gases than the one’s they replaced. Is the acid rain problem solved? The sulfur-based compounds and particulates we filter out of everything combustible actually contribute to global dimming. Are the rainforests fixed yet? In virtually every climate model that includes dynamic vegetation, vegetation adds degrees rather than taking them away (Just like in a greenhouse, huh?).

Maybe once we switch to fuel cell cars we’ll be better off because they don’t emit CO2, just water vapor. Except that water vapor is the sine que non greenhouse gas. But you’re right, it’s easier just to scream about ‘destroying the planet’ than actually being rational about it.

ZAP,

i teach first aid to high school freshman. this is a very important topic as this knowledge can save lives. however it is SO UNCOOL. most kids dont pay any attention because they think it will never happen to them.

until:
i tell them the VERY detailed story about how, one evening on my parents 30th wedding aniversary, my father had a heart attack and i saved his life using CPR.

now…mind you…i tell it with such emotion that their eyes water. and since i started telling that story, they have been MUCH more attentive and learn MUCH quicker.

i never tell them that the story never happened.

last fall a sophomore came up to me and thanked me for teachin him first aid/cpr because he ACTUALLY DID save his father from choking to death over the summer. he said that my story inspired him to pay attention in class.

i dont feel that exagerating the truth in certain cases, is wrong. especially if the issue is of grand importance and isnt recieving the attention or respect that it deserves.

Since Marxism is a dead ideology, the environmentalists have to have something else to try to fuck us all over with. This is all just more attempted playing on fear — but the public is FINALLY beginning to yawn, roll over, and go back to sleep.

Global warming is one of the biggest jokes that’s ever been played on humanity.

The difference is CPR is real and saves lives.

Man made Global Warming may not be a real issue just a political one.

If the climate alarmists are right, it is too late to stop the change. The CO2 is in the air and we are locked into the warming cycle.

If the climate alarmists are wrong and we cut CO2 emissions that means we cut energy use worldwide grteatly reducing the standard of living of billions of people.

Now is not the time to lie. Now is the time to find the truth so we can make a smart decision.

Al Gore is lying.

you think he is lying on purpose? do you think he KNOWS that global warming is fake and is doing this soley to win the next election?

what if he believes the information that he is sharing, and then slightly adding emotion to the story to get our attention.

IF the environmentalists are right and we are locked into a warming pattern then you say…the hell with it, we’re gonners, no use trying to fix it or lessen the blow? that dosent make sense.

also if we dont start finding reliable alt energy sources what does the world do in 50 years when the oil is gone? it’s going to happen regardless of weather we prepare for it now or wait til were F’d in the A.

what are your thoughts on this Zap?
cesliwakan wrote:

Yes. He is a politician. That is what politicians do.

No one knows either way. I think he knows the evidence is mixed.

I think he knows man’s influence on climate is likely FAR smaller than he is claiming.

I think he knows that all of the climate models are incredibly flawed and the magnitude of error is higher than the predicted temperature cvhange.

Yet he presents this bogus info anyway.

I read read his book long ago. I think the title was the Earth in Balance. That was chock full of falsehoods too. The man has a pattern of this.

Of course it is possible he is stupid enough to actually believe it. The man is not all that bright. After all he did get worse grades than Bush.

If he does believe it he certainly does not live it.

His lifestyle of flying around the world and driving his crew in multiple air conditioned SUVs emits more CO2 that the lifestyle of more than 99.9% of the world.

Maybe if the Gore family sold their cash cow, zinc mines, they would be able to sleep better.

Didn’t he also grow tobacco and get subsidies for it until his sister got lung cancer?

Then of course the tobacco industry was evil and should be sued.

I remember him railing agaist strip mines when one was allegedly on his property.

The man is shameless.

he adresses the whole tobbaco thing in the movie

also did you say “allegedly”?

have you seen the film? if you do then when you argue certain points. you will know what it is that he is saying. you wont look ignorant by stating a fact (the tobacco thing) as if he denies it or is trying to hide it.

when i saw the film it was an eye opener. however i dont fully believe anything that media tells me. left or right wing.

if you see the movie i’d like to hear your rebuttals to his “facts” with references.
