Coach,
I know that you do not recommend stimulant use for fat loss for more than two weeks at a time. How long would you recommend someone stay off stimulants (HOT-ROX) before beginning another two week usage cycle?

5-10 days
Thib:
All other things being equal, which protocol would be better for strength gains without adding fat?
1: (1) FINiBAR @ -15WO, 1 Scoop ANACONDA, 2 Scoops MAG-10 PeriWO
OR
2: 1 Scoop ANACONDA, 1 Scoop MAG-10 PeriWO, PostWO = 2 scoops Surge Recovery
Thanks,

Coach,
Iāve been dieting for 20 weeks, Iāve lost 24 lbs (200 to 176) and I believe itās mostly fat as friends/family tell me I look bigger than ever and my pants are hanging off my waist. I am getting pretty detailed in the upperbody (with the exception of triceps) but my legs are lagging behind.
I try to implement the ideas you present, so a typical day may be; activation with hang clean, trap bar deadlift, snatch grip deadlift, good morning (ramping each exercise) then sled work with my old tire & rope.
I want to get my legs shredded so badly. I am guessing they are just going to need more time as compared to my upperbody as I recall you mentioning that even for males it is not uncommon for the legs to be harder to get shredded than the upperbody.
I was initially hesitant to diet so long, but I continue to hit PRās in the gym thanks to your methods so I donāt mind continuing the diet longer.
But if there are any tricks or helpful suggestions I am all ears.
Thanks.

Christian, I read that do to health issues you dropeed 20 lbs in 4 weeks. Though not for health reasons I have to drop weight rather quickly for two college plays. At 180lbs would it be possible to drop 15-20 lbs in 1-1.5 months? If so what would be a good way? At this rate I realize that some will be muscle but, I would like to keep it to the minimum.
If you donāt care where the weight comes from, and assuming that we are not talking about water weight (heck I can lose 15lbs of water in one day via dehydration) then I would recommend eating one big meal (no junk food⦠meat, lots of veggies, some fruits) in the evening along with a shake so that you have a total of at least 100g of protein at that meal.
Then have 2 protein shakes (roughly 50g of protein each) during the rest of the day⦠one when you wake up and one mid-day.
Add 2 caps of Flameout with both shakes and with your evening meal.
Perform 30-45 minutes of moderate intensity, steady state cardio first thing in the morning.
Train with weights in the afternoon. Focus on big compound movements for sets of 3-5 reps.
Ideally you would use 1 scoop of ANACONDA and 1 scoop of MAG-10 prior to each lifting workout.
Christian ,
with the above approach, if one were to take 2 SCOOPS OF ANACONDA prior to and during each lifting session, muscle loss might be spared or possibly minimized as if one were not to take ANACONDA???
Hey,
Iām like the real new guy here so Iāll understand if you canāt answer my questions or if I donāt explain it well enough for you.
Iām 17 and Iām looking to shed a bit of body fat for summer. Hoping to get down to about 10% if Iām lucky, I think Iām about 15-18% at the moment. Weighing at about 215 (95-96Kg) and Iām 6ā0(182cm).
Want to keep as much muscle as possible obviously and can do a diet and training programme over 3 months, starting in a month or so, just starting the Chest phase of the I,Bodybuilder programme this week and want to cut down after I finish this and the Transition phase.
What kind of diet would you recommend and could you give a basic outline of this ?
As for programme wise, Iām looking at different options but still a little unsure, could you recommend any that would help with maintaining (or building if Iām lucky) muscle mass while cutting fat ?
CT,
im planning to do your program Optimized Volume Training. I want to lose some body fat. so in my off days i would use olympic weight lifting combined with jumprope routines as my cardio workout. would this have any bad effects on my recovery of the main workout a day before, because of the stress on the N-system
in my normal workout days I would also use your programm as shown in the running man article or just hit the jumprope for 15 min.
what would you recommened
I have a question about FishOil Supplemention, Thib:
I just bought i guess one of the better products available in my country and those tablets have the following label:
1 tab - 1000mg
containgin:
33% EPA - (330mg)
22% DHA (220mg)
10% other omega3 acids (100mg)
Vitamine E - (6,7mg)
of course the label says i should take only one capsule a day, but Iād rather hear the opinion of an expert.
So how many of those capsules should I take in daily for the best possible results?
btw, My goal is now to drop my Bodyfat levels vom 18% to about 10 to 11% in a time span of about roughly 6-8 weeks, cutting the carbs except post-workout and training GVT as always when cutting.
thank you
Hey Coach,
Not too long ago I read an article on EFS by Keifer about how not eating breakfast can be beneficial when trying to lose fat. He mentioned waiting a few a hours after you wake up to start eating and consuming more of your daily calories later in the day. He showed studies where the people involved lost more fat and less muscle. What do you think about this? Do you agree?
Thanks.

The only thing that actually determins how much food you consume is YOU. Skipping breakfast (along the lines of intermittent fasting) does not automatically make you consume more food and it has been beneficial for many people. Of course, this has to be handled with discipline (as does any diet).
I prefer to delay breakfast as it gives me more time to wakeup and get ready for my morning fasted cardio.

coach,
should carb-ups be rather on a normal heavy session day, or on a non-training day?
Coach, i am curious about what are currently your favorite insulin sensitivity/nutrient partitioning supplements and any recommendations? thanks.

i think i remember that a guy asked a question on the livespill about what day to have a carb up if he were doing the 3 day blitz approach that Thib recommends. Thib said that day 2 would be best, and since that is the circuit day, i would assume that he chose this because circuits are superior at pulling nutrients into the muscle. i know im not ct, but i actually had a carb up the other day, and i decided to go off my normal program and do a pressing circuit workout. i was PUMPED afterwards, the feeling was insane. so from my personal experience you could probably do it on your heavy lifting day and just add a circuit at the end of your workout if you are not already doing so. hope that helps any man.

as far as insulin sensitivity goes, i used the whole āfenuplex/insulinomicsā protocol from the poloquin website. that helped me ALOT, seeing as how i tolerate carbs the same way a balloon tolerates helium⦠i blow the hell up.

thx dude, doing it every 10 days the next one will be on a circuit day so weāll see how that one goes.
I had mine on wednesday, this was also the ~11th day of strict low/no-carb diet and it was the first day i felt weak, i was going around with the absolute minimum of glycogen in the stores, i had to stop my press/pull session after 8x3 bench and 8x3 rows because i had no speed anymore. I carbed up later with sushi, and got to training AGAIN around 6 hours after the failed session, did some 5x5 dips and 5x5 chins and did some concentric only dips and chins right afterwards, i had all the speed and neural drive i needed⦠and yeah, i blew up like a balloon and felt heavier instantly eventhough the carbup consisted of only 180g of carbs.
so far so good, dropped the bodyfat from 18,6 to 16,3% and lost only half a kilogram of bodyweight (99.5 kg currently) guess thats more than ok for roughly two weeks of diet.
btw, whats this 3 Blitz about? sounds like german blitzkrieg haha ⦠got a link to that one?
cheers
Hey coachā¦I recently read that if your average morning body temperature is below 36.8 degrees celcius, that you may have a problem with thyroid out put. I was just wondering what your thoughts were to a statement like this. Currently I have a temp of around 35.6 degreesā¦I know that one would need to get testingā¦but I live in a small town in Canada, and making a doctors appointment takes like 2 months to get in. So while I waited I thought I would ask what your opinion is. Thanks
