Question about Testosterone and Building Muscle

I started TRT recently to relieve symptoms of hypogonadism. One of the benefits I noticed was unbelievable fat loss and to a lesser degree added muscle. These benefits are totally secondary to my desire to feel good again and have a better quality of life. But related to muscle gain, does a body build muscle and burn more fat from temporary increased spikes in testosterone like from injecting once per week, or more from steady levels derived from multiple injections per week?

I think you should see the half life of the ester you’re injecting before thinking about this in terms of “spikes”.

To answer your question, 2x per week is probably more favorable - but to a very small degree. Like small enough you couldn’t tell the difference. If you’re actually pursuing TRT for health and quality of life, don’t worry about stuff like this.

TRT will only help you lose fat insofar as you have a mildly improved resting metabolic rate, better protein synthesis, and are likely more active. There is a small, but virtually immeasurable effect on nutrient partitioning capabilities through systems we don’t yet fully understand, but is anecdotally documented by meathead juicers everywhere.

I do not know. I have heard arguments that the “spike” in androgens sets off different mechanisms that increase muscle building (potential), but I havent seen any evidence of it.

I don’t think you will see much difference between ED - E7D unless you got some sort of system that metabolizes test cyp/enth at an extra ordinary way.

MAYBE something extreme like E2W dosing in where your trough is 200 TT there may be a difference? Who knows.

It mostly comes down to your area under the curve for testosterone. It might be easier to think about as your average testosterone level (which will be very similar on the same dose but different frequencies, given you aren’t doing anything crazy like once a month injections).

This goes for those using testosterone or other PEDs for muscle. The results for you will be related to your long term average levels (or area under the curve which qualifies the same thing in this regard).

Yes I’ve heard that too. I think overall I feel better off with once a week shots.
