Question about Hamburger

Quick question, when cooking fatty hamburger does the fat cook off?

Eugene

Not to any significant degree.

If you make the burgers thin (like 1/4" or less) and you cook them in some method that prevents the fat from pooling around the burger (george foreman and grilling come to mind), you can probably drop a decent amount of fat from the burgers. Normal-thickness burgers will be too thick for the fat to start melting out of it, and if the burger is sitting in the grease, it’ll reabsorb it.

I hope not.

Just have a good steak for the patty
